Yep hopefully they can knock Ebay out in time due...

hxxp://www.ewaey.c0m

think its a good site, how about the fees? are u related to it?

its going to be impossible for a name so similar to ebay to actually beat ebay.....

could make some monies though if you can get a few buyers/sellers lined up

this is the same auction script everyone has. There are a million sites like this. I mentioned http://www.ddbid.com the other day because they at least specialize in digital products only.

If you aren't going to specialize, your done for. Ebay is basically Coca Cola, Coca Cola isn't going anywhere and neither is ebay no matter how many imitators come out each year.

You know whats sad? I have yet to see a visually appealing auction site. I mean c'mon, you mean to tell me with over 6,000 auctions and a good size user base you cant come up with a prettier website?

Pay me a few thousand and I'll build you a better site than ebay.

wtf?...F* it, Im creating an Auction site, and promoting the shit out of it.

Im gonna call it...E-GAY.com, what do ya think?

But no, honestly, I am going to create one lol!

Hoot

Tru Dat Hoot....

Yeah they all pretty much blow ... but look at most corp sites. They only focus on backend code and functionality with little front end user experience or GUI. It's sad. People don't put enough emphasis on it.

And people ... stopping thinking the templates like TM solve all your problems -shit. They do what they are supposed to do ....get people to buy. Other then that they are not a solution. They are put together by good visual designers but they are to limited as a full solution if you dont know how to really design.

Anyway, unfortunately for the masses I hate to see ebay shamelessly followed as they like many offer nothing and rape consumers. It's unfortunate when companies start small and grow to so much power.

$1 for a F@#king bold title?
$3 Border???
$5 highlight?
+ insertion and final sale?

ooooooooo....... then let me send my money via paypal so you can take more of it. LOL what a joke.

Whatever, if you saw recently people tried to strike about pricing changes and other objectives like the ability for sellers to no longer respond to buyer feedback. It didn't make a dent in ebay. And that's with organized efforts that couldn't exist so easily in the past. I personally would love to see a much better site thrive. But I think it will be a long time before that happens.

Here are some other that have been around for quite a while...

Ebosa(dot)c0m <--- you'll see the obvious ebay correlation but this is not some ProBid script

Other then that ...

ioffer(dot)com is way more functional and visual. It's actually well put together. Only thing is you have to watch about getting burned on sites like this because when smaller auction sites like this do start they dont have the staffing to protect against all the fraud that goes on.

Last but not Overstock has an user auction section ..

but I tried to use that there once and their security sucked cause some douche bag with and Ohio I.P. was telling me he was in Switzerland and trying to sell a brand new Mac Powerbook for some dirt cheap price cause Mac's aren't popular in Switzerland so the store went out of business.

All I need to do was WIRE cash to a Swiss bank account. Yeah .....let me do that..

Actually it did make a dent in Ebay. i watched their stock fall to around the low $20's. Thats pretty good. We had Ebay on their knees begging for mercy. But now, people have let their guards back up and Ebay is up to no good again. Their stock is know hovering around the mid $30's

Horrible site. The domain is puke and hit the homepage and just get swamoped with the question "Where do i click?".

That site won't be a patch on eBay unfortunately. Hopefully one day someone can take those thieving cunts down.
