How far can you go with free web hosting using any method?

Hey guys, I'm new to all the techniques here on BHW and I aim for my first site to be affiliated with Amazon. I'm aware that I will mess up and I want to learn from my first major mistakes so I'd appreciate it if anyone can give me advice on what free hosting I can use first. Can you also tell me the limitations of free hosting? Thank you!

the only limitations really are the ads the free hosting providers display. Other than that most can give you a cpanel db etc.

If you want to start free, I'd recommend going with the big 3: Wordpress.com, Blogger or Weebly. These 3 freebie platforms offer some great features to get started fleshing our a concept for free. And whenever you feel you're ready to upgrade, there will be options to do so. Whichever free source you decide to go with, I'd recommend backing up all of your content regularly as free platforms have the power to delete content on a whim, many times without even informing the user. It's a power trip and it does happen.

i started off my bhw journey years ago free with 000webhost. looking back, it really sucked. slow speed, ads, ftp issues.limited cpanel. but it did the job and i was still able to profit on it. once you start making money, upgrading to a paid host is the first thing you need to do.

Yup. So did BHW, Yahoo, and handful of other major services. My advice is keep your passwords unique for every website.

There are tons of very inexpensive legit webhosting companies out there. The Free ones are over ran with spam and their IP reputation will be extremely low.
