Getting awesome backlinks but traffic is just steady?

Hi There,

So I'm getting some awesome high quality backlinks (30 days or so).

However, the traffic seems just 'steady' (More like taking a tiny bit of a dive as the days go by).

I'm doing the exact same thing for another site, but things are doing great (Same strategy - nofollow on 99% external links).

As far as the on page situation goes, there are about 30 external links that don't have the nofollow tag.

My guess is after I plug this "hole" (Stop the draining of our link juice and maybe leave a couple with a ******** - the best ones).

Things should pick up . . .

What do you guys suggest?

Sometimes it just takes time. If the two sites you mention are targeting different keywords then maybe it has more to do with the degree of competition than the fact that you are doing the same thing on both sites.

Patience is the key with SEO, no two sites would respond equally and no two keywords would similarly respond equally.

Thanks for the reply guys. It's the exact same target market to0 btw (Same Keywords). Yeah my strategy is the same. Get awesome backlinks (White hat) and just plug in all the holes on page wise (Broken links, Adding nofollow tags on external links - 99.9% of them and so on). Appreciate the response

1) do you point them to the homepage or inner pages?
2) how many words do those pages/page have?
3) have you got 100% unique content on the whole site?

That is good if you are building regular backlinks but the traffic does not depend directly on links, you have to rank higher in search engines with your keywords to get traffic.
But if you are ranked higher for your keyword and still not getting traffic then may be your keyword has low search volume.

Sometimes I find results very quickly, but then other times, it takes a few weeks perhaps a month before I can see the results of my work.

Definitely doing #1 but I think there are LOTS of inner pages that need a backlink or two. That's why it might be taking a bit longer than usual . . . Thx for your feedback.

Though your strategy is same look for building more back links for your inner pages of site.
The target on the keywords related to your site which could get more traffic.
Having a good content quality with a exact keyword then your site definitely been indexed in a short time.
