Dropshipping, Here are my thoughts.

Hey Bhw, I am getting tired of my current life of having no house to stay, living with my aunt tgt with my mum and bro. We keep having finance problem and is really tiring cause we keep working to save up pay debts and bills.

I wanted fast income, but I do not have much capital. I only have 1.2k USD in my savings, and is really hard for me at the age of 24. With injuries, 2 surgeries had done on my arm and leg. I simply can't go out work on some jobs. I am a person who love sports and adventure, so those office jobs I always think is really boring and I don't feel happy working there. I want to try CPA, Email marketing but requires alot of capital.

Therefore I found dropship 3 months ago, which I was happy at first since it doesn't require little to zero capital. I decided to go all out on dropshipping. Its been 3 months, I haven't use any tools to help me on dropshipping, I currently have 90 listings to 3.5k as my limits. My feedback is 15, 1 neutral and 1 negative ( Some stubborn buyer insist giving me that, I called Ebay roughly 9 times and They simply can't remove it ) I have 93.3% positive feedback now. Till Date, I have sold 11 items, Total profit of $50 USD for the past 3 months.

I was thinking that I got this negative feedback, It affects my sales greatly. Can someone Confirm for me is this true ?

Now I am trying to find products to used up my limits, the problem is I keep I really have no more idea on how to find product that does have a higher chances of selling out, I feel very lost to find products and feel such a loser for my past life till now. I am really so stressful that I don't even know does this dropshipping will work for me.

I seen people has really done well. I wish to be like them and really want to work hard, but I really thinks that I am losing a huge motivation and maybe I am getting near to depression. Can someone here really help me out of kindness please ? Maybe I am not supposed to post on this thread but I sicerely apologize to everyone as I really do not know where to post and really requires motivation, tips, any help from you BHW members, those who work hard and all the experienced Dropshippers out there.

Maybe this is not the right area to target. You may have to get a job for a while to get some income, then you can use that income to buy domains and try other areas of IM.

I hear that eBay is notoriously saturated with dropshippers and has been for a long time. Unless you are in the loop, which it sounds like you definitely are not, it's going to be hard to keep up and make it worthwhile.

It's entirely possible but it's not 'get rich quick' by any means. Advice, especially since you have nothing but time- read this ENTIRE sub-forum (ebay), take notes. I've seen so many people with tons of will to do the work but no discipline when it comes to research. KNOWING what to do will save you insane amounts of time and money. Knowledge=time=money=power=knowledge, etc.

You need a nice job to help you get started on IM. Since you need to learn psychology (sales psychology) you'll need to hit some of the books. Mind Control Marketing goes over the basics and How to win friends and influence people will help you get an idea of fleshing it out. Cashvertising would be a good read next. In that order you will start to read, re-read, apply, test, repeat until profitable. Also think of Google Search and Google Trends as your friend. You get the latest information you can use to make money, etc.

There are tons of people who want to make money but not really work for it actually. That's part of the reason why they don't put in the time and effort to do the research.

I have been selling since November last year but didn't get rolling until January and I have about 70 sales earning approx $4k gross. My previous account was open for six months and had over 130 sales grossing nearly $10k.

Unfortunately yes, your negative feedback lists you as a non performer within eBay and PayPal systems. This is a critical hit because you're no longer being promoted to the front of the line and having your listings listed on the first page where over 80% of sales online take place. The only way to combat this issue is time and a consistently high level of fulfillment services offered to your buyers in the future.
Basic eBay Rules for keeping happy buyers

1. List accurately, dont be afraid to highlight defects an informed buyer is a happy one!
2. Write notes communicating.Package properly. Use Packing slips.
3. SHIP FAST! (fast on ebay means within 24-48 hours)
4. SHIP ON TIME! USE TRACKING! accomplish this with the least amount of fuss by preferably printing eBay shipping labels because tracking is uploaded automatically!
5. Solve any issues BEFORE eBay gets involved. It's not worth it just refund in part or in full. You'll be thankful later when your listings are still being promoted.

To address where to find products thats a lot easier than you think...

Terapeak is nice if you want to pay $300 per year. You can find most of the same info provided by the service by researching yourself. There are nice things like sales tracking and title building, but again there are seller tools in which this info is provided for free.

Couple of questions to help me give you some advice. What do you sell primarily? Do you have a website? Do you have a solid source of products?

Thanks alot for this advice. I fully agree with what you said, but for me is not I have no discipline when comes to research. I doing research everyday and I just simply do not know which website to trust and such. I just need something then I could confirm those websites, sources are real instead of fake. I am working hard everyday to find or learn something new out.

Yes From all the information I can give you, I am doing dropshipping on amazon to ebay. I sell mostly home appliances, some toys, and general items. As I just started out and also not much capital. I do not have a website at all. I generally dropship from amazon to ebay. Do you mind pm me ? In that way, Is more efficient for me to talk with you for help and advice. IMO creating ecommerce site is pretty much a waste of time unless you're in a very specific niche that draws in visitors, and if you could do that you probably be doing it yourself instead of offering to do it for others.

First of all, no one (at least no one really that smart) will give you a ABC guide on how to make good money since if they're doing it, telling you what they're doing is going to create in instant competitor and take money out of their pocket. There are various strategies, but generally as a drop shipper the main thing you have to worry about is eBay/Paypal policy since you will not see or touch the product so that any problems and disputes will cost you more. Know the rules in and out so that you don't have to refund if at all can be avoided. Avoid any product that gets a lot of returns or where there are a lot of scams. Avoid VERO items. When researching items, remember that you're competing against smart chinese guys who're running customized drop ship software and list 100,000+ items and can survive with zero profit because they make money on the postage. Matching brute force tactics with those people will result in you working for free. By the time you hear about a stragegy, chances are it has been sucked dry. You have to be nimble.

To add to what Tom said and to expand on my previous post, EVERY piece of info you need to get going on Amazon to Ebay Drop Shipping is on this very forum.

Research: READ EVERY THREAD in the eBay subforum here on BHW. Open up Word or Notepad or some other software you can type and save in and when you come across a recommendation or mention of software or strategy or something that sounds right, copy and paste that info to your notes, AND copy and paste the link so you can refer to it later. Taking notes reinforces what you read, it's not just busy work that they force you to do in school.

Tom is also right in sharing of knowledge. I am not going to just give away my info here. If you're hungry enough and smart enough, you will figure it out. That's your barrier to entry- you have to figure it out. If you can't, dropshipping isn't for you. I got started here three months ago and I'm profiting over $150 a day now. I'm to a point where I want to scale out of Amazon to real Wholesalers. I got here through hard, diligent work and research research research. I failed dozens of times. I put money BACK into my business by paying for software like TeraPeak.

The resources are here and people will drop you nuggets of info if you show that you are humble, polite and determined enough. Like this very post.

Also a corollary to this is I think in most instances you can safely ignore people who are obviously here trying to make a buck off other sellers rather than making it off eBay. If their system is pretty much auto pilot and can be scaled up infinitely, why do they need YOUR money? Why give away their method for $100 when they could potentially make millions by running it themselves? There is a reason why they need to make a buck off you instead of making off eBay, and it's not because their system is so great.

from my experience there are a few significant hurdles that must be overcome for anyone wanting to scale this up and start making real money, but i haven't seem them explained in detail on here. obviously you have to work things out for yourself at some point
