Is this a good niche?

I have been doing some keyword research, and I finally think I have found a profitable niche. For obvious reasons, I am not going to reveal the exact keyword, but this is the criteria it fits.

-3,600 searches per month

-450k results in google

My only concern, is in the Google Keyword planner, the competition displays 'High' should I be concerned? Thanks in advance.

High might just mean advertising competition, with that few results it should be a good ranking keyword.

If you need to cross-reference make sure you compare the one you have with broad or exact matches using a keen eye to better your understanding.

As stated earlier check the dificulty from keywordrevealer. And the mentioned high competition is for advertisiing not the difficulty

Keyword Planner high competition is good, meaning many advertisers are targeting that keyword, which means you will make at least decent money with Adsense (theoretically).

In case he ranks in top 3 results in G00gle and estimating the CTR is 2%, he will get 72 clicks in a month generating him 72*68% suggested bid.
CPM is not a big deal for that number of search.
Now, estimating the suggested bid is $1, he will get around $50 a month. That's not so decent income.

It's hard to tell with the metrics you posted. There are other factors which needs to be considered while doing keyword research such as DA, KC, Backlinks etc.

What if CPC is $5? And this is just one keyword. Sure, you have your point, and all this is pretty much unpredictable, but let's not discourage him.

I appreciate your reply, but I purposely didn't post all of the metrics for this keyword to avoid somebody stealing my niche. If I saw income potential, why would I reveal it? You are clearly incapable of evaluating the criteria with the information provided, like the other responses have. I apologize for my ignorance regarding the Google Keyword tool. Maybe I didn't make myself clear - I have successful niche sites under my belt, but I hadn't used the Google Keyword planner for my research prior to launching the websites.

You clearly are missing the point that CTR for organic search will be higher (assuming he ranks top 3) than the Paid search CTR . Further, it will depend on the business model i.e product based, affiliate site, CPA or just adsense.

I doubt it would be $5, but who knows. As for the keywords, OP had mentionned this keyword as a reference, hope he is considering using other good related keywords. OP looks a bit lost, I just want him to do it the right way (I spent +$200 for nothing). Now, I am struggling to learn keyword research the right way to launch a new website, so, if anybody can help, PM me, please !

You might consider looking for low comp related keywords as well, I don't mean to be offensive, but I want you to plan well and welcome to BHW.

Let me ask you something, HOW DO YOU ASSES KEYWORD COMPETITION WITH ONLY RESULTS IN GOOGLE AND MONTHLY SEARCHES? That is completely stupidity, you have to assess every site in the top 10 with its backlink profile etc.

That is exactly one of the tools I used to evaluate the keyword competition with the niche.

Obviously I am not as proficient as I would like to be with the Google keyword tool though. That is why I posted this thread
