Hey guys!

First IM journey. Hoping to hit $10,000 USD consistent monthly profit by May of 2017. Will be primarily focusing on dropshipping from Amazon & Aliexpress to eBay, but will hopefully pick up other methods to try on the way.

A little background:
I've been selling on eBay for about 3 years all together now. For two years I flipped brand name clothing from thrift stores and profited about $150 a month. Beginning 2016 I decided to take it to the next level and started selling Amazon items on eBay & dropshipping them.

Overall, I've made about $800 for the first half of 2016 (January - May). This equals about $130 profit per month, Which is very far from where I want to be. BUT, I have been working on a few key things that I believe will help me accelerate sales:

1. I spent a lot of time teaching myself to build bots in the first half of 2016. I now have several bots to do most of my 'grunt' work. They are rather sloppy, but work well enough for my purposes. I can now automatically download listings from Aliexpress & Amazon, and upload right to eBay, with a little bit of updating after. I'm currently working on a price updating bot, that I hope to have done in two weeks.

2. I've also purchased three 1000/$25,000 limit stealth ebay accounts. I'm currently in the process of breaking them in, & hope to have them up and running full speed by mid-July to beginning of August. Unfortunately I was pretty careless with IP addresses in the beginning. Hopefully this won't render the accounts useless anytime soon.

Between these two main points, I think I have a real potential to hit $10,000 monthly profit by May 2017.

The way I figure it is... In 2 months or so I will have 4 stores all together (3 stealth, 1 main). Each with an 1,000 item limit at least. So I'll have plenty of 'selling space'.

Each store needs to generate about $2,500 monthly profit for me to hit my goal.

Which means each store needs to sell 7-10 items daily, at a $10 profit per item.
Seems reasonable enough to me! (obviously I could also sell 15-20 at a $5 profit, etc etc. Whatever sticking point I can find that works!)

What am I working on now? Generating sales, regardless of making money or not! I've decided for the month of June, to not focus on actually generating a profit. I will focus on trying to generate consistent daily sales, while breaking even. I'd love to average 15 sales a day, before I try to make profit again. We will see how this strategy works!

Average Daily sales per Week:
Goal: 15 sales daily

05/29-6/5: Will update when week is over!

Any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated. Hope I was clear enough and this is something you guys might find interesting!

are you using any arbitrage tools.

I used profitspy for a bit, but found it didn't really help me where I needed it (nothing against the product it works fantastically). Just using bots atm, looking to keep my running costs low until I start generating a bit more substantial profit.

It is time to expand your eBay business. Your goal is achieving profit $10K/mo by May 2017. You need to build your own list, so your goal can be realized.

Keep updating this thread until you reach profit $10K/mo by May 2017. Good luck!

This is very good stuff, really re-inspired me. Now keep your head on tight and get to $100k a month, keep growing and expanding your empire now.

Do you use any reprizing tool like Priceyak?

good luck there. There is a huge thread in BHW about arbitrage in ebay. Very useful information in there

Thanks! Feeling very determined at the moment. I think having this thread will help me stay motivated!

Not currently. I'm working on a smaller scale repricing bot atm. Will consider repricing tools when I start selling a lot more items. Currently only have about 80 listings up

In the ebay section? Will have to take a look, thanks!

Update:

Sales are picking up! I lowered my prices all around about a week ago and have noticed a massive differences:
Note i'm not making a profit on any of these atm. I have dropped all my prices to break even, or in even some cases losing a bit of money.
I'm doing this to increase overall ranking and traffic to my store & listings faster.
I plan to keep my prices low this whole month, and than increase them starting July.

5/29: 7 sold
5/30: 1 sold
5/31: 8 sold
6/1: 6 sold
6/2: 3 sold
6/3: 8 sold
6/4: 18 sold
6/5: 11 sold

My average daily sales for the week are about 9 items. I'd love to hit 15-20 daily sales by the end of the month!

How you promote your product? Is it by advertising or just on ebay traffic?

Tq for the reply. I hope your journey can inspire all bhw members. I will follow your journey

quick update, prepped about 50 listings to upload tomorrow, still got 150 to use up!
haven't gotten too many orders, maybe 5 in the past two days :/

decided to set some 'mile markers/goals' to make sure i stay on track.

June: 0$ profit, spend time building up sales, listings and stealth accounts
July: 1000$ profit, have stealth accounts up and near full run by end of month
August: 1500$ profit
September: 2000$ profit
October: 3000$ profit
November: 4000$ profit
December: 5000$ profit
January: 6000$ profit
February: 7000$ profit
March: 8000$ profit
April: 9000$ profit
May: 10,000$ profit

this sort of steady profit would put me right at my final goal. I don't believe it'll be this linear, but this can serve as a rough guideline
The most important part is getting my original account generating profit, and getting my stealth accounts rolling.

Quick update:

Sales have slowed up a bit this week, maybe 3-5 daily on average?

A few stats from Terapeak:
Impressions to Clicks: 0.95%
Clicks to Sales: 31.27%

Once people click on my listing, it's about a 30% likelihood they will purchase, which is great! but...

I'm starting to realize I'm listing in wayyyy oversaturated niches. Just too much competition, the margins are so small that I'll be hardpressed to make any substantial money without massive amounts of sales.

After doing a bit of research I believe I've found some much less competitive niches, with a lot of potential for profit!

Gonna work on getting those listings up and running by the end of the day. About 30-40 with quite a few having variations.
Also focusing alot more on the quality of my listings. I've been using a quantity > quality mindset, with unoptimized titles and messy descriptions.

But since this niche is far less competitive, and a lot of my listings will have variations (anywhere from 3 -10), I think it'll be worth my time to make sure it's done correctly from the start.

Might update at the end of the day or so too to give some final end of the week numbers

How many items do you have up, what is your average profit and how much are you making a week? Just curious

Hey, just went through I big niche update so I currently have about 25 all together, no profit this month as I've been focusing on feedback.

Right now in my new niche each sale will profit me about anywhere from $100-$500. Getting lots of views and watchers so gonna see what it'll take to get those sales!

Will probably update thread a little later tonight in more detail as I've changed a lot of initial strategy
