Idea- Using Wikipedia as your web 2.0 hub

I have little to no expertise in IM. The only money I make is off of article writing. This is just an idea.

How useful do you think wikipedia would be in things like linkwheels and promotions? Assuming no one deletes your work (which, depending on the topic, could happen, but a lot of times not), you'd have a pretty high ranking hub site/page. Or if they don't allow pages based on long tail keywords, you could always add a section to a broader category's page. This is pretty basic. For example, if you were selling homebrew wii, make a section for it on the wii page and include your link (duh)

I write this because I see mention of all sorts of web 2.0 sites but not much in the way of what usually is the #1 result when I do searches- wikipedia pages.

I'd like to hear your opinions.
 
Depending on your niche, submit an article. Build a wheel around it to drive traffic. If done right you would own #1
