Why are there so many banned members?

Hey, so I've been a bit of lurker on here for a few months and the one thing thing I've been wondering about is all the banned members.
Like you'll see a really well written and informative post only to notice the member who wrote it is banned.

How are all these members getting banned?
Did they all cross the line at some point and start literally scamming people or is the banning system just a bit trigger happy?

Well this forum is about making money online, so most plausible answer I can think of is that they abused this forum in a wrong way to earn money. I know of 1 guy that shared really good information, but was banned because he sold his previous BHW-account.

Because there are a lot of stupid people and a lot of scammers that BHW does NOT put up with. Its a good sign that BHW takes care of itself and protects its members.

JK, they most likely were banned for repeatedly ignoring the rules, or for scamming a member. Don't break the rules or scam, and you'll be fine.

it would be a good idea to include the reason of the ban with each profile name so when newcomers signup here they will notice the rule that had been broken by that member.

I think most users get banned for either scamming, or trying to push their products/services outside the TOS. On the eBay board it used to be a lot more scams a year or two ago. Now the really crude scams ("I can drop ship new apple laptops at 30% below what it sells in stores!") seem to have gone away.
