Beware of "Directory Submitter"

Hey guys,

I was recently reading an ebook called "Traffic link building formula" I found the book here. Its not a bad peice of work. But as with many ebooks related to IM it is clear the author is trying to sell a fuck ton of affilate products. I rarely fall for this shit, but this guy got me and I just wanted to tell you why and how.

He suggested I use a free tool called "Directory Submitter". You just visit the site, opt in and get the tool. It lists something like 350 directorys you can submit to for free, and then if you want you can pay to upgrade to 1000 directories.

Anyways I used the program to semi-auto my way though about 20 directory sign ups. The next thing I know Im getting IM bullshit spam in my inbox.
I unsubscribe and guess what? Every single directory I had signed up for I was immediatly removed from.

So all they directories are run by him, Im not sure how valid they are, and to use them you have to give him the rights to spam your inbox.

Its ghey in a bad way my friends.

That will be Brad Callen of keyword elite fame ... I have the submitter but never could be bothered with the whole registration process. At least you never paid to upgrade to his platinum submitter

Personally, I always don't like Brad Callen's software. Almost all his softwares are over rated or if not, hyped.
That also happened to me, too. My inbox is full of offer to buy this or those softwares with special price or so. I know something is just wrong. He likes to appear as a whitehatter when in fact he's also doing many things like us do, but using his fame he can go further.

Are you for real this guy owns all the directories in his software...

he collects the sites the same way you and me do from directory listing sites

He has nothing to do with those sites.

I agree the submitter he sells is crap. why is it crap.

This guy.... make so much software and you will never get more then 1 or 2 upgrades... because.. he does to much just like all the other so what gurus.

but I guess you still get your monies worth..

Who am I.... well I own ... DirectorySubmitter.com and I back my software not 100% but 1000%..... I would even give it away.. If it made me money... it blows his submitter... out of the water...

I wasn't trying to suggest he owned EVERY directory. All I'm saying is that when I unsubscribed from his mailing list it removed me from many of them instead of just the mailing list and anyone can agree that's not cool.

I'm glad you like your directory submitter. Hopefully you'll stick around as an active member to share your great software with us.

And yea, thanks for the advise about using mailintor. I just never thought of that!

I also searched few days ago for good directory submission tool and found that best reviews have these 3 tools Submiteaze , Fast Directory Submitter and digiXMAS

I was not impressed to this software to be honest. This program makes the first 2 steps out of 10, where there are programs who can do the first 8 steps and you just do the last 2.
