Already Earning.. What Should I Do Now?

Hey guys,

I have a situation at the moment... maybe you can help me out. I know there are certain people who have gone through what I'm experiencing at the moment.

IM has been quite good to me and although I cannot say that I've made it 'BIG' I surely made a nice sum of money so far which mostly went in the bank & never touched (I have a very comfortable safety net).

At the moment I have 1 project that is making sufficient earnings and it only requires 2-3 hours daily maintenance. I have scaled this project to it's maximum(I never thought I would get it this far to be honest).

That said, I don't think that this project will keep making money for very long so I have been searching for alternative ways to make money in the extra time. I am still pulling 14-16 hour days trying new things.

I gained a lot of knowledge in the process which I can apply to other projects but the ones I tried never really took off & I suspect that the ideas I am currently generating are mediocre.

I feel the urge for something bigger but I cannot think of any ways to fulfill this need. I made it a goal of mine this year to read a lot of books and even though I'm learning constantly I just cannot get out of this loop.

I can code, do some basic copywriting & CRO... amongst other things.

I want to go to the next level and that requires a good idea and strong work ethic which I'm finding hard to do at the moment.

How do you guys recommend I find project ideas that motivate me?

If you do proper niche research you could easily find a related area to add work to. Look at the successful projects and try using another category to further scale.

For example if promoting health also promote photography or something you could use the same formula for.

Thanks I will try to make another website in another niche but using the same principles. But still this is not going to be fulfilling in the long run.

If you do proper niche research you could easily find a related area to add work to. Look at the successful projects and try using another category to further scale.

What if there's a project that has potential but doesn't interest me? Would a sane business man still get into a venture when he is not particularly interested in the niche?

Try building an authority site which would be a long term income. Also, you can code, try to see if you can learn different languages and if you can create a bot that is in need. Are you talented in something that one would pay for your services?? Just look around the threads and see what no one has done and accomplish it.

@BlingFiles If you are actually working 12-16 hour days, then I don't think work ethic is a problem.

I assume your income source mainly rely on seo. I remember someone posted something very useful on how to dominate fully in your niche. Let say you already rank 1st on page 1, then u should try to rank another site to 2nd position, 3rd position... in this way u can maximize your revenue and traffic. Cheers!

This can be very effective.

Whether they buy product A, B, or C, it is all company X under different brand names.

Certainly a good strategy if done correctly.

I was in a similar situation. MY income is quite steady because I have contracts with my clients and I also had a project myself.
When I felt like I couldn't develop it any further, I decided to flip it.
Afterwards I started 2-3 new projects.

Unless your 'suspicion' is backed by data, common sense or advice from experienced heads, give it a shot. Especially if it doesn't cost you a whole lot other than time.

It's almost never the first idea that works out. However, while working on a seemingly 'mediocre' ideas, people stumble upon new things that they hadn't thought about. This is when things start getting interesting.

I say OP to put your money to work for ya mate. I prefer putting people (VAs) to test things rather than wasting my time on that, as time >> money

When I'm experimenting I do it to gain knowledge/understanding which isn't something a VA can give me. A VA is alright when you have a clear plan of what you want done which isn't the case when you're not sure about the idea. But hey, to each his/her own

I just tell them to record themselves while doing it so i can watch it later and see how they did it and how i may optimize it.

I think hiring VA's is a very good idea... I never delegated any of my work & I am afraid of it so it may be an opportunity for me to learn the skill of delegating my work.

I'm going to go on a 10-day vacation in 2 weeks, hopefully this will clear my head(at the moment I'm in a "Paralyzes by Analyzes" Phase)
