Keyword tool helpful in finding domain names?

Im was looking for some domain names with googles keyword tool and using the "exact" search I see some terms (2 and 3 word) with like 10K searches globally per month.

Would these be decent domains just right off the bat from any kind of natural traffic?

10K global searches is not bad if the keywords pay decent > $1.00 and if you can get an exact match on the domain name.com/.net or .org. (my opinion).

Just remember the number 1 slot gets approx. 40% of the search volume, number 2, 20%, number 3 10%, and the rest pretty much suck air.

That depends on the strength of competition for these KW's.

Only when you can outrank them you're able to get a decent amount of organic traffic.
