Long name domain for a PBN?

I have an interesting question.

I found an expiring domain with an extremely long name that makes a sentence and has a branded word in it, let's say "www[dot]isgettingatoyotahybridcaragoodideaforananniversary[dot]com". My money site is about weather forecasting.

The only content this long domain has ever had is a funny meme, 1 picture and nothing else. People, obviously, got a kick out of it and linked happily form all kinds of sources, and some of those links are decent. No spam either.

My question is - should I get this domain for my small PBN? And if so, how do I incorporate my money link. Putting weather forecast articles on a "funny" site about a gifted car would look very unnatural. Putting articles about cars with a link to weather forecasting would probably look weird too. The name is like a beacon.

Any input?

If that site has been previously used as a PBN before, I'd say don't get it. And remember that one of the ranking factors is topical trust flow so if the niche is irrelevant, your might not get as much ranking than if your niche is in the same topic too (in the long run).

It hasn't been used in a PBN before, it's squeeky clean.

I've been told relevancy isn't as important as getting strong links. I'm not sure, however, if those links are still good when coming from such a weird domain. Wouldn't want to raise any red flags.

Long name with clean profile is better than a short catchy name thats been spammed the shit. If it has good natural links then why not?

Yup, you can get this domain for your PBN. Long name is not a problem if it is a clean profile.

You can use it to your site if it is relevant to niche. And I think domain with funny things will not make sense with forecast domain.
So,you can check the metrics of that before using it as a backlink.

I think there's nothing wrong with long domain names for PBN. Just make sure that it doesn't have any other issues. How about articles for a car trip weather forecast or weather forecast for travel by car.

Seems like getting it will be the right choice. Last part of my question - is "Toyota" word included in the domain name a possible copyright issue?

The long name shouldnt be an issue if you are into ugly domain names. :)

The brand name, it depends on the brand. Some brands actively seek those domain names. Already got cease and desist letter like twice for using a general word that is also a brand because its same niche. But probably because i outranked them :D

But if you put website up totally unrelated to the brand i dont think it would be an issue. It will never rank for anything related to it anyway.

For gods sake, just rebuild it. Add the old picture or a similar one, a "Have fun, this entertaining moment was brought to you by - link to your site - the #1 weather forceast in the US" or similar below, done. Don't overcomplicate it, a few lines HTML and you are set. There is no rule that a PBN site must be a Wordpress blog, must have articles, must have any content except this picture, especially if the site always was like this. A pretty powerful link for $10 a year, done, next one.

Edit: Since it sounds like it has traffic, don't forget ads. Maybe not Adsense, but something remotely related. Yes, PBN domains aren't meant to make money, but a banner won't hurt, the easiest extra dollars ever.

Brilliant, thank you.
