Yeah, 10K words should be enough. As much content as possible is the best but if you start off with a small budget 10K words should do. I usually do 25-50K per site as a start - and expand if I find some other keywords I've missed or something like that.

I am pretty new to this, and I have just been using the regular adwords tool
to get my monthy search count. I find its a pain because it remembers my original
seed, so the more like this option does not work well for me.

Is there a better way to do this part or is just using the google api a better way to go for getting month counts?

I don't really know the problem? Are you on Keyword Planner or have you made a campaign? Either way, the most accurate way to check is via Keyword Planner but then you have SEMRush and such services that do a pretty good job at it as well, but not as accurate as Keyword Planner.

Firstly, thank you SO much! This and your previous thread are both awesome, well illustrated with examples and easy to follow. I have been researching IM for a little under a week, signed up to BHW yesterday. I just got done finishing your last thread and read you said you were making a new guide - luck would have it it comes out today!

Hopefully within a week or two I will have found a niche and can get started! Maybe then I will come back with some solid questions.. Seriously though, thank you! I will read this again tomorrow (as well as your previous thread) because I've done about 8 hours research today purely on SEO (knew nothing about it before) so I'm sure I haven't absorbed everything due to fatigue!

Two questions for now, which would perhaps be suited for your other thread but oh well:

1. Typically once you have found a niche do you use Amazon to promote several products? It seems like if you use clickbank then you have to find the product first, rather than finding the niche then the product.
2. Are there any free versions of SERPworx/Majestic/SEMrush? I have only just started looking in to IM so am a little bit hesitant to spend lots of money straight up - especially as I am so new to this all. I can 100% see the value of the services, it's just I am unsure if I'll be able to utilise them properly. For perspective, I am unsure about tier 1 and tier 2 sites, as well as PBN's in general, but that's going to be tomorrows mission! AdWords comes to mind when I think about free services.

One further question related to #2, what do you mean by "if you are extremely lucky a web 2.0 or something similar. "

Thanks a lot of the kind words! It means a lot.

1. Yes, I do it exactly as explained in this tutorial. Sometimes I find the product first, like the examples in this guide. Sometimes I stumble upon keywords that look fun and easy to target and figure out what products there are in the niche. I usually find these when searching for keywords for a niche I am already in.

2. All three of them have trial offers (not so sure about SERPWorx), so you can use them a little bit. I like to pay for services that help me make money but if you want to get away cheaper, you can find trial accounts selling on most of these services over att Fiverr. These trial accounts usually last for like 30 days and costs $5. So $15/mo usually.

3. A web 2.0 is a site on a platform. So for example blogspot.com or tumblr.com blogs for example. These are usually easy to beat since Google seem to prefer people that actually put money into their site and it also usually ranks based on the root domains authority. So generally really easy to beat.

Yep, I postponed it for so long and then I sat down and wrote this down in 2-3 days I'd say. It became 4,5K words long, and the thought process was what made it took this long to be honest.

First off, thank you for the kind words. Hm, interesting thought. I guess meathead knows it the best as he is running a flipping website marketplace. However, you cannot think like "Oh 20x is much more than 10x" every time. Let's say you want to rank a term, with two sites. One where you are using PBNs, and one where you aren't. You start your backlinking campaign to them both until after a while you decide to point 10 PBNs to one of them. It shoots up in rankings, and start making money. With the other one you sit each day trying to acquire strong links from bloggers and authority sites without much success. You spend a ton of hours trying to get a few guest posts (it is damn hard to get guest posts overall and especially to small money sites that are heavily monetized). Eventually, you will have acquired the same powerful links as the first one but the time difference is 6 months or more.

The time is the difference, and time is valuable. The first one you set up, added content and built links towards and it started generating money after 1-3 months. While the second one you did everything as the first one but decided to try to do outreach in order to get guest posts (and probably needed to pay a lot for them) and other greyhat backlinks. I guess the multiply might change a little bit but when it comes down to it you might make more by selling a better ranking site at 20x than a less good ranking site for 30x. Or selling two sites ranking just as high, but the other one you only spent 4 hours on and the other one you spent a few months on trying to go a more "natural" or "whitehat" way.

It is just my take on it. I am done trying to rank without blackhat links. It isn't fun at all. Last year I was all about just targeting low competition keywords and ranking without PBNs but I have totally changed my mind now. That is boring. I want to challenge people and dominate niches. It is good for a start to target low comp, but after a while when you got the resources you shouldn't think about competition so much - most Amazon niches aren't that hard anyway.

I noticed you seem to have shifted away from web 2.0s and over to PBNs and wondered why. I'm at a crossroad as I have my first successful site making around $800 a month. I started getting domains ready for a PBN and then I found it would reduce the value. I really get what you're saying though. It should work itself out in the percentages. I guess the answer is "To Test", but I can only do this after (hopefully) selling this first site. That's the plan, anyway!
