Link building questions!

Hello, I am a newbie on SEO and would like to know some things:

1- I have a website homepage and a blog section with a new post every week. Where do links have to link? (To my homepage or to a blog post of my website? How many of each types?)

2- If I register on a forum related to my niche and let's say that I do 1 link per day, can I do it with the same forum account or do I need more accounts? Mayeb if I am posting the same link everyday with the same account it can penalize.

Ive never done forum backlinks before so Ill skip that.

Generally people would link to the post itself and not the homepage. Logically speaking, how many times do you think a visitor shares your homepage as compared to a blog post with useful information?

1 - I would make it a good mix: 50% to main page and 50% to inner pages. More links to inner pages as your content grows. Make sure the links are related to the context (-> the content of your forum post)

2 - I do not think Google penalizes links that come from the same author in forums, so one account can work fine. However I would always work with multiple accounts just in case one gets banned.

Hmm why not post the link of your website at the signature of your profile? Make it as a link under your main keyword. Just post helpful tips on the forum so you will be noticed.

This can't be generalized, totally depends on your seo strategy.
But yeah, one of each per day is a good start.
Do you plan to post in one specific forum only or are there multiple forums in which you plan to place links?

I have planned posting in 2 different forums, how do i do it? a post everyday with an anchor text inside? different forum accounts or the same everyday?
