In short you first need domains (most will use quality aged domains) and some hosting and some content to put up on those websites. When you have your domains serving website content you can then eventually start posting links on them to your money site(s).
If you don't already have a bunch of domains just start with 1 and build on it from there.
The main things to concern yourself with are to always keep in mind that things should be kept as different as possible, everything should be different. Use different domain registrars, different web hosts, different link placement and definitely different unique content.
There are lots of different aspects to owning and running your PBN but if you keep in mind to keep everything different and as varied as possible you will enjoy longevity with your PBN which should always be the goal.

This indeed IS year 2016 - there are ever SO MANY guides to starting your own PBN, most of which all discusses prices etc. yet this is a brand new question posted today.
Stop polluting the forums with the same questions AGAIN and AGAIN.
I usually answer questions rather than asking questions, however in the odd event that I do ask a question it is certainly well researched.
Every time I do, however, they quickly drop down to page 2 before anyone has answered.
Guess why? Because of threads like these where people ask the same generic stupid questions over and over again.
(and yes, this is objectively a stupid question since the topic has been discussed countless of times during the recent years)

You just enter into this great BHW forum and There is no mistake with what you've asked here. Do a simple search with Google or search option available on the left side of BHW page. Hope you will get some useful threads which guide you.. Cheers!
So in your opinion the rational approach is for us to spend 2 minutes answering a dumb question rather than OP spending 1 minute finding the answer himself?
Also, properly read my complaint and you will see why stupid questions matters in regards to the overall quality and usefulness of the forum:
It pushes the more well researched questions down the drain.

It's a bit of column A, bit of column B. OP looks like they put zero effort into researching the question, so that makes people mad. Fair enough. Also, OP is likely a little overwhelmed with info and just wants a nudge in the direction of some quality info.
PBN gets expensive, so pick your battles. You register expired domains with a domain authority of around 25 to 30 (more if you can get it) and go to the wayback machine (archive.org) and dowe load what the original site was and use that if possible. Post 1 link to your money site per site in ur PBN. Make sure everything has lots of variation. If you host 10 sites all on one server it's pretty easy for Google to work out that you probably own all of them.
I'm in the process of building my first one now after much research. I noticed that a lot of the time when I research competitors backlinks, they are fairly weaksauce. So my theory is I can outrank them with about 4 sites in a PBN with domain authority of around 30 and expired web 2.0s pointing to the PBN sites for eXtra link juice and to help with indexing. That'll cost me a couple of hundred to set up and then about $30 a month to run. So if ur competitors have very strong backlink profiles and it would take say a PBN of 30 sites to beat them that is going to be considerably more expensive. So figure ur risk reward ratio and I suggest start off with something easy while learning the ropes. That's what I'm doing.
