Posting competitors content before it gets Indexed in google

Hello,
If someone decide to take fresh content from a competitors site ,and then post it immediately in a high rank forum/site(that google will index faster), will those copied posts be seen as the originals since they got indexed first ?
Or will the robots look at the exact time the posts was made and then attribute evrything to the original poster?

Whichever content is indexed first will be considered the "original" by Google.

I heard of a nasty game recently. A company were stealing another companies work as soon as it was posted, so Google gave them the credit for it. Then the company that stole the work filed a DMCA take-down notice against the other companies website for the duplicate content.

Well it's a question. Many folks see this working out there in the world. Of course it's a terrible idea, but people are probably going to try to do it now anyway.

Not my cup of tea. I never stray too far into the fray.

If you pay for content and if you want to make something stable you are getting better results long term. If you are out for a churn & burn project you may don't care about stealing the content!
