Penalty for only1 redirect
I'm OK on Bing but after a 301 Google decided penalty.
Domain was clean and spam free.
Looks like Bing will get my business now.
Hope Google burn in hell and Bing take over.

Highly doubt 1 redirect is the sole reason.

What did they tell you the reason was?

Made excuse that site was hacked with spam which it was not. Although aged domain that was 301 was clean wasn't related to my niche

If they penalize you for links/redirects, they tell you, they don't need excuses.

Why do you think they say the site was hacked with spam?
My site is clean and OK on Bing.
Looks like they're not going to tolerate any 301 that's not relevant.
Keywords rank on page 1 and 2 on Bing .
Even my site name don't show on Google when I search.
I did a search online using an internet tool to check the site just before I got the message. So maybe these online checkers are sending info to Google?
Or maybe I'm being paranoid but something's happened.

Being ok with BING is not relevant in manual action coming from Google. What CMS did you use for your site? Any plugins? There are a lot of XSS attacks possible that would lead to this kind of penalty.

Maybe you didnt catch the bad backlinking profile on the 301 also.

One thing is sure, google doesnt make errors.

If 301 a irrelevant (aged) domain to the money site will cause a penalty, you can defeat all cmpetitors and corner market easily.

Maybe the penalty checker tool.
I remember Sky caught a lot of people out using an online check tool a while back.
Just have to be even more black hat and secretive about anything Google now

Pretty sure a single redirect from an unrelated niche isn't the sole reason you got penalized. If you believe so, maybe remove the 301 and lift the penalty?

Contact them and ask for a manual review. It could be false alarm if you're sure that your domain is clean and and spam free.

Be honest with yourself about your site. Does it meet their quality guidelines?

If you got a hacked with spam penalty than they should provide proof. I've had this happen before and it's one of the easiest penalties to remove. Just make sure your site is clean and submit for reconsideration.

I'm sorry but it's highly unlikely one redirect caused it. Even if coming from unrelated domain.

Try free Sucuri check. It can uncover the most common hacks.

Also try searching for your domain name in Google. It should show "This site might be hacked" next to it if Google really thinks it is.

Can you post the message you received in webmaster tools? (obviously remove the domain name and urls first!)

Bing will not penalize you even if you have thousands of spammy links pointing to your website, I saw a website few weeks ago with 90k spammy links from web 2.0 and blog comment sitting in the top of a 10k searches in bing.

I know how you feel but getting annoyed with Google is not the only thing you can do to counter the problem, look for the actual cause and why would you believe its a penalty?
