I have Crohns Disease and modern medicine isn't really doing anything for me. A few months back my old man came across "Helminthic Therapy" randomly while
looking online. Spent the next 2 months looking into, doing research etc.. Basically as the title says, you infected yourself with a parasite called a "Hookworm"

Ordered them on Monday and they arrived today. The larvae come in a clear liquid, you squirt them onto the plaster and apply it to the skin.
For the next hour Ill be able to feel them burrowing into my skin which I can, I really want to have a good itch

Read some amazing stories and if I can get similar results my life is going to change over the next few months. Right now, I hate going outside. It literally scares me.
I start worrying, my stomach starts going, starting worrying even more, stomach gets worse etc.. It's a vicious circle.

There must be others on this forum that have the disease as it's becoming a very common. If you have it yourself or know someone who does, tell them about it.
Even if you don't have Crohns, people are using HookWorms for all sorts of autoimmune diseases.
Really worth looking into, you never know it could change yours/their life.

Any questions, ask away.

Damn Nature you scary!

In all seriousness i hope they benefit you and you get better.

I have high hopes, would be great to get some control over my life again

Cheers mate

The lounge probably isn't the best place for a serious health thread but...

I have Crohn's and take Humira. Going to get some medicinal marijuana shortly, likely cannabis oil.

I don't know about these worms tho. I know nothing about this.

Look into mate, really is interesting. While you're at it read about the "hygiene hypothesis"
Parasites were/are naturally in the body once upon time. As we become more hygienic, new/better medicine became available we killed them off.

Illnesses like diabetes & Crohns were almost unheard of 50-60 years ago, now they are huge problems all over the world and becoming more and more common each year.

Plenty of people have had theirs lives changed by these Hookworms.
Due to being used in controlled amounts there are minimal problems that could occur and if they did, a small tablet kills them off.

If a few small worms can potentially change your life, I say go for it.

ps: Wasn't sure where else to post it

Thank you for sharing. You make an interesting point regarding our "healthy"lives making us sick. This got me thinking.

On a more personal note OP all the best.

mmmm. Are you on meth? WTF! You infected yourself with hookworms. Most people that do alternative treatments for your disease smoke weed! Not infect themselves with hookworms.

Please keep this thread updated, want to know what happens to you

PS. Sorry if my first comment sounds a bit rough...just the thought of infecting yourself sounds disgusting.

Not a problem mate, it's how most people react, even I wasn't too keen on the idea at first but the more you look into it, the better it looks.
Other than the putting them on your skin and getting an itch sensation which disappears after an hour or so you won't even know they are there.

Some want to smoke weed, I want to try worms. Each to their own :D

Nothing new here. In the middle age a lot of serious diseases, like demonic possession or adultery has been cured using bloodsucking animals.

Sounds scary, next thing you must do is fluid intake... Don't stress too hard over instant recovery, plan for autoimmune survival and getting the best of your life.

Most importantly, be very very careful with that parasite.

Have you taken advice from your doctor before doing this?

Spoke to him, didn't have much to say. For someone who is supposedly to be a specialist you'd think when new treatments/therapy arise he would look into them or at least be interested.
Spoke to plenty of people who have used Hookworms for all sorts of autoimmune illnesses and have had great results. I did a lot of research as well, have not just gone into this blind.

I wish you all the best buddy, if you feel safe doing it and your fully clued up then i suppose it'll be worth it in the end.

@ste - what happened to archon10?

Threads like this make me question some peoples mental abilities.

Do explain?
I have been given countless drugs, different surgeries etc.. nothing is working.
It's easy to sit there and say that when you don't have to live with it everyday.

Automatically dismiss something because you don't understand it.

I'm sure if you suffered daily and a treatment with almost no possible side effects that could improve your quality of life, you would give it a shot.

The disease primarily sits in the intestine(s), that is where the worms go and colonize.
