Wanna buy this laptop

Job's Ghost, stop trying to sell your shit here. Reported for selling outside the market place. We all know Macs are shit.

Man, you made my day :D

I was worried about specs of this MB Air (i5/4GB), but hey its fu*king powerful! (And I switched from i7/16GB)

Yes, it costs premium, but you get quality product. Its not for all I know, but as a "Apple FAN" I am using iPhone and MacBook and I have no complaints at all.

This is why people say that laptop is overkill for SEO:

I can run any of the SEO programs on a 2007 era dual core computer with 4 gigs ram.

You can travel the world on a push bike, but why the fuck would you?

Do you not think you could get twice as much done on a faster machine.

Whatever you get try to find something with an IPS matte screen (makes a difference) & SSD. Also i5 should be more than enough for what you plan to do really.

Unless you travel most of the time, why fork over pointless cash for the mobility a laptop provides? Get a powerful second-hand workstation on e-bay for that cash, you could probably get a dual server-grade CPU (4 or even 6 cores each) HP or Lenovo with a boatload of RAM and an SSD that was actually built to do serious work on. You can run all your SEO software, watch movies and play games and this beast will not even skip a beat. And unlike the MacBook, you can really forget about upgrades for 3 years. I would rather invest some money into something like that, instead of pay monthly to run VPSs and stuff. This is how I would spend my $900 when my current desktops stops cutting it comfortably. Those machines provide the highest value for money by a long shot.

And you can always have a cheap laptop to access your desktop like you would a normal VPS while traveling.

Or buy a 1500$ Asus laptop with 2x better specs and use it for 10 years

Fucking apple fangirls dude

Just buy a macbook pro with the best specs (3000$ in my country) and forget about buying a latop for the next 3 years.
I've just done the math. 2800eur/36 months/30 days= 2.60 eur a day
given you sell it at half the price 3 years later, and pay 200eur of sponsored ads on amazon and ebay to sell it(not so easy to sell an used laptop for 1400eur) it will bring down the costs to 1.60eur a day

HP Pavilion Gaming 15 is Really Good. I like this.

Seriously for 3 years. I used $450 laptop for 5 years. ah? If you are in college or travelling a lot mac air is a good option. But if you are just sitting all day at home , Nah

Well, I usually change my laptop and desktop every 2 years. Anyone making 6figures or more a year using a computer as the main tool for its work would..
not because it doesn't work, but just to get the latest apple design with slightly better specs.. and of course, free of scratch and the joy of unboxing. damn, in this forum 99.9% are broken...at the end of the day, as per my math, is only 2eur a day..

Slightly better specs don't benefit you unless you are running something all the time. The i7 6700hq(2015 release) is only about 10% better than the i7 4700hq(2013), it takes 4 years now before you really start to see any benefit from newer cpu's

as said the slight improvement is, slight. just one of the benefits I cited

But its better in the long run to just get a good low cost laptop and put money every year into a home cluster.

Laptop cpu's are good enough these days to last 8-10 years with a ssd and 16GB of ram.

Sound like a really powerful laptop. Your main focus should be the cpu for the tabs as well as ram. On both the laptop is well equiped

hello,

I hijack the thread because I want to buy a laptop too, which would cost 500 dollars maximum.

I don't need a killer laptop: I use VPS. It would be mainly to connect to Internet, to write, to use some small softwares, nothing hard.

I need something basic BUT robust. And not a mac.

For example, Deleted member 923340, you said "Seriously for 3 years. I used $450 laptop for 5 years."

What laptop was it?

Thanks.

Personal take: Get a macbook and call it a day. Had a few Windows Os laptops prior to Macbook. Got one last year and have never been happier

If you have a good budget and want a windows laptop, then I'd suggest you to go with Dell XPS 15. Currently rated as the world's best ultrabook!
Have been using it for the last 3 months now!

Thanks, but I don't need something so ... premium, I only need a basic laptop, but which will last for a long time. Something durable.

And for the mac, ... no.

I know Mac, and I prefer (and need) windows.

Thanks.
