So this site has been up for a couple years now and I decided to update it. It has not been updated in a very long time(months). So I deleted some content, added some, and changed things around. Then all of a sudden I lost over 2,000 visits:confused: Does anyone have any idea what the heck I did wrong? I could really use some help to try to figure out what happened. Also I see that I have 0% traffic source from search engines. Does that have something to do with it? Is this info correct or is it just a glitch? Any help is much appreciated. I hope I can figure things out:(

probably was a bad idea to delete your content. they say don't fix what aint broken. restore your site. im not sure if you have a local backup, but if you don't, use wayback or something. once youve restored the site, begin adding the new stuff.

best of luck man.

The things is that I deleted old information that needed to be changed. Is there any way that I can restore that information but not have it viewable to a visitor? Would that help things?

It's possible you deleted a page that was bringing in a ton of traffic that you didn't know about

I didn't really delete much though. I just changed the wording of pages.

Lol, it makes no sense deleting a page without viewing the statistics....

If you backed up your file you can upload that but if not.. tough luck mate

I did not delete though, just deleted content and changed the wording. There is one page that I did delete that may be the problem. I just restored it.

I think you deleted your Ranked Articles that Brings you traffic.

You Should not deleted the Old Content.
You can new content but do not delete old.

You deleted the traffic article, so get backup of it.

If contents are old use StrikeThrough for those contents, or write a warning this is an old article/post.
If you have changed the look of website, restore it.

Lol why did you delete those content?Dont worry, thing will get back to track again, start good link building again.

Bump,

If I restore everything will my views go back to normal?
