[Method] Make $1000 a Month With Amazon - Newbie Friendly [Phase 5a Published!]

meathead1234 - can you explain more about the article on the homepage? Is it OK to display the full article on homepage only?

In that case, would it be a page (then set that as static homepage) instead of a post?

e.g. Write the pillar article as a page, then set that as static - instead of writing it as a post?

OR

Can I write it as a post, then put a read more... so that there is no worries with Google thinking it is duplicate content?

I'm still working on getting that first sale. Seems the level of traffic to many of the forums in my niche is kind of low. However I did do some black hat SEO, which will hopefully see clicks and sales. I found a local business on Google maps without a website listed and "suggested" my website as the website for the business. Took a day or two, but they actually put my website on the "website" link in Google maps!

Great yet simple and easy to follow method.
I am builidng my amazon site and for sure will use some of your technique.

I'm no meathead, that's for sure, but I do know that you can't have duplicate content on Your Own Site.
This means that the content you put on your site has to be unique, but you can duplicate it on your own site as many times as you want, without Google punishing you for it. I did this on my own site and never got slapped for it. Just think about it, it wouldn't make any sense.

I think Meathead means you should make the pillar article on a 'page' and make that page static as your homepage. If you want to, you can then use some parts of that pillar article on other pages as well.

@meathead1234 thanks for sharing your experience with us. The phases are pretty clear except two things that contradict themselves:
1. The site should look like a personal blog
2. Homepage should have a 2k - 5k pillar article
As I know, a blog has on the first page a list of the latest blog posts or some kind of pinned posts list, not a 5k words article. I just put myself in the shoes of the blog readers following my link from various forums (as learned in the 5a phase) and it looks a bit fishy to see such big content on the first page.

Has this come up as an issue for you? This is not something I have experienced. As long as your content is personal like "I started this blog to write about X because I love it." You should begin to get complimented by members of forums if you've done it right.

If this is an issue you have encountered I am curious what your pillar article looks like as it you're probably not making it personal enough.

I got like 2 sales and got this email after:
Lack of content which is original to your site and beneficial to your visitors
- Pages that are mainly empty when advertisement content is removed

suggestions?

Maybe follow the guide and write good content?

I'm almost up to $500 this month and I stopped working on it since my last status update. VA doesn't have the time right now and I don't want to do it myself.

If you pick the right forums and get a discussion going, the posts will drive traffic for quite some time - didn't think about that before! :)

thanks Op for great and detailed guide again. just finished reading after few hours and i'm really tired, learned so many things!!
i like the concept of forum promoting.. thanks again! great thread and waiting for next thread!

I want to do this with CB as Ive ben doing that for awhile. I dont use forums I use news sites but its always good to have multiple traffic sources. So I want to know do I need proxies for the accounts on the same forums? I know driving traffic on forums will be much harder with CB then Amazon..

The good news is I made my first sale yesterday!

The bad news is, it was on some $13 24pack of cat food instead of my niche products, so I only get like $0.56. But hey at least my traffic is converting right!?

Made a real sale yesterday! Gotta wait for it to ship to see my earnings from it, but it was a $415 product!

This has got me super motivated to keep working. I'm not getting a whole lot of traffic, but it seems to be very targeted traffic by my CTR. I don't think I'll hit the 6% tier this month, but I should KILL IT next month!

How many clicks did you need guys to get at least one sale?:)

No disrespect, but seems that you know nothing about duplicate content.

That's a very polite version "declaration" from google about duplicate content , in a real world.... don't even think about that.

My pillar articles were pretty corporate until now. So was the site's about page, logo, etc.

Changed it to a "personal blog" of someone with 20+ years of experience and designed the logo to be about him, not "reviews".

This is the result so far - click-through rate to Amazon went up by 30%:

Oh and I also used Thrive Content Builder for it. So it looks much better designed than an average page - might be another reason for the CR increase.
