are there any low key sites that allow you to view the backlinks of competitors? I want to buy a membership to ahrefs but its just not in my budget right now. Thanks

I haven't tried it. There are some group buy gigs on fiverr.

I second OpenLinkProfiler. I also suggest you consider group buys. They allow you to use expensive tools for pennies.
