Launching an eBook

Hi there!
So I have an idea I can write about, it's a micro MMO niche. I want to advise with the community before taking my first steps.

I thought about writing an eBook and selling it, but I don't have a lot of knowledge about it.

1. I want to make a long landing page as the sales page with a "buy now" bottom at the end, Clickbank product style. What is the best platform to use for such purpose? I used "Leadpages" before, but I'm not sure if it's the best platform for my plan.

2. Do you recommend to use my real persona? I can link my social media profiles to the landing/ sales page.

3. Well, I guess that I can get customers from social media (FB groups, YT videos with earning proofs, Instagram), but are there any marketplaces in which I can sell in? some forums maybe?

Selling ebooks is not something you do with a sales letter in my opinion. It can be done, and it can be profitable, but it's hard to motivate prospective customers about the value of your ebook unless you've already put something in front of them that proves you know what you're talking about. That's hard to do in a sales letter. It generally requires a lot of testimonials, and is nowhere near as effective as the proper utilization of ebooks.

The ebook model is largely unchanged for 10+ years and the basic model continues to work, but it's important to know what that basic model is, so let me describe it a little more:

1. Create a low-level introductory informational ebook. This is generally a fluff piece designed to create enthusiasm around a model/method.
2. Give this ebook away as incentive for people to join your email list.
3. Continue to provide valuable information as well as on-going sales opportunities(limited) via email auto-responder follow-ups. Provide A LOT more value than you do links to your affiliate offers, or people will quickly opt-out of your lists.
4. Create a higher-end product which can be an ebook, but is generally a bit more advanced than that sometimes leading to forum development, software applications, membership based sites where the more valuable products are provided to members only. Most marketers will develop a low end product (ebook to be given away - sometimes it has a lot of affiliate links in it), a mid-priced product with more information or tools, and a high-end product where applicable and where there is enough high-value information to build a system, membership site, or other large information product(s).
5. Be sure to be able to recommend valuable products and services in your niche because this is where a lot of your money can be made via referrals to other networks and/or products.

If you ultimately decide to SELL an ebook - you will have much better success doing so with a very low price point because people don't like to pay for stuff that should be free. If you recognize the model, you will truly appreciate that an ebook isn't designed to be directly sold very often and you're really just setting yourself up to leave a ton of money on the table this way.

Spend more time thinking about what you want to accomplish here. Read a lot more information about the model, and then go from there. I've done what you're trying to do many times, and selling an ebook in this manner can definitely be done, but it's not the general approach most newer marketers should take. That's largely because if you have some success this way - you will think the model works like that, and it doesn't. You need to wrap your head around the reality that making money with an ebook the way you're thinking about it is likely going to lead to limited or no success. Give that shit away ... no matter what is in it ... it's not worth a damn. Never met an ebook worth paying for yet, and I don't expect I ever will.

I saw this model before, and I have a few questions:


1. For the purpose of giving away my free eBook (to build my list), should I create a tiny and simple landing page using "leadpages"? do you recommend it?


2. Traffic.. I guess that the best ones are the costly ones ah? FB, Adwords, etc.


3. Do you recommend to use my real persona as the owner of the list and the writer of the eBooks?

He started writing eBook in 2007 and still he's writing and selling. He's also writing the books and selling in the market place. He invested few $ for review purpose.
Have you any plan to invest few $. Must that'll be profitable for your business. If you are ready to start your then please fixed low price for each book. Like : $1-$10. If you do it then you have possibility to get more sells.
