What do you Guys think is better and profitable as a publisher: Fixed Rate or Revshare in case of pay per install ? And why ?

Also I'm quiet confused with both terms .. Pls share your experience and idea on it ..

My affilate manager is asking on which model I should work with them . But i'm confused about which is profitable ?

The only way to find what is best for you is to test it. Run 1000 installs with fixed rate and 1000 with revshare and compare.

Bogard : Thanks for reply ..
Can U please illustrate the terms and how do they work ?

Yes, it really depends on the network, installer and traffic, so you need to test both options.

Revshare works so that you get your share (usually 60-75% of what advertiser pays the network) each time someone accepts an offer. With fixed rate, the network is willing to pay you a fixed amount (let's say $1.00) each time someone accepts all 5 offers. So if your traffic finishes the installation, and the installer is clean, then usually the fixed rate is better. But let's say the third offer in installer is spammy and users cancel install or is detected by AV and a lot of installs don't get finished - then better to go with the revshare to get paid for as much offers as possible.

In my experience it works different for networks. For example, when i started with Revenyou's fixed, it worked much better than their revshare, whereas with Amonetize I quickly switched from fixed back to revshare cause I was getting much less paid with their fixed (seemed people were not finishing the install).

Networks also don't want to earn less regarding which method you choose, so often it might even not make a big difference in the end. Also terms for fixed vary, some need to get to half of install, some need the install to be finished. It depends on the installer as well as your traffic. That's why it's best to test yourself.

Don Chino Thanks for reply !
One more question to you , By default amonetize uses fixed or revshare model . For US install in amonetize some time I'm getting $0.05 per install and some time $0.9 . Since 1 year amonetize rate has dropped a lot . Previously I used to earn $100 on average per month and now only $15 on average ..

By default it's revshare - that's why you see different $$ for each install. The more offers user accepts the more $$ - this is revshare. If you always get the same amount for every install, let's say $1.30 for US (amonetize), then this is fixed. So the amount of $$ you get is higher with fixed but you also get less installs, cause everyone will not finish install. There you need to find the balance which method works better for you... if it's either more installs for an average of $0.30 (revshare), or less installs for $1.30 (fixed).

I've seen Amonetize install go even up to $1.60 with revshare not long ago, last month, but i think it's only specific locations of US and user who accepts all offers. I think the average is around $0.50 that you should get with them for US (revshare).

In most cases with volume REV Share is better, although seasonal promotions may make Fixed more lucrative.

If you're just starting out try starting with Fixed until you see more traffic only to switch back if rates have provably exceeded expectations.

Hi,

If your install traffic is majorly from US and UK.... Ping me on skype shubhra.roy987, I can pay lot more than what you are getting from Amonetize as you mentioned its 0.05$ per install. My rates would be much higher than that.

Amonetize does not pay $0.05 for US and UK... the average is $0.60+ for US and $0.30 for UK.
