Solution: First off, so did I. A mostly women's niche even. Anyways, just google the question to answer or problem to solve and completely rewrite it for the lazy bastards.

Hello people! Firstly I want to tell you a short story. So in the past I have tried old meathead's method with clickbank. Just picked a random niche, wrote few articles, registred on some forums, tried to "promote" and to be honest got some traffic! I got so exited and started working even more. After like 2 weeks I got around 10 hops and it maybe funny to you, but to me it was gold. And I think as you predicted, I got absolute 0 sales. Traffic was still going like 3-10 visitors/day but I just gave up and said fu... IT! Now (after like 8 months maybe or maybe even more break) I have started new website with nice design, but I do not beleave in it. It was supposed to be clickbank site again, however it just has "about page" article and thats it. (If you, Meathead want to see it and laugh, pm me Ill show you). Why I'm saying you this? I'm so tired of failing. Like most of you are. Now I want to start amazon site and tried to do so by the way. BUT just as I was starting they asked if I have a site in which I will promote. And I'm not, because site that I have is empty. So my question of shame: how the hell could I join amazon associates? It's question of shame, because I didn't read all thread and do not know if it was asked.

That's going to be at least a month yet - I don't have much free time on the weekends for just waiting for have a few half Sundays free!
So while searching out forums, I've come across a few dozen abandoned forums (people posting links to hardwood decking and nike products, etc). Is it worth it to register and drop a link on these? I know I won't get any traffic through the link, but is a link a link and every bit helps? Interested in your opinion on this. Some of them have been abandoned since 2005.
First, build up your website, get your article and set everything up. Follow up to phase 4 (include), and then go to Amazon Associates and register. BTW - I just made my 3rd sale. My earning so far are only 1.03$, that guy has ordered 3 kindle books, not my niche product. But hey, at least hungry US visitors are clicking on my links!
What is the big worry about the payment method?
Just take action and make money. Worry about it later.

But it has been said so many times already, you can work with Amazon from anywhere in the world. Just read the last few pages instead of waiting for the same answers.
