Should I get a yellow lab or a Rottweiler?

Hey guys I'm planning to get a new dog but I'm stuck between getting a yellow lab and a Rottweiler as I do find yellow labs to be cute but Rottweilers are my favorite breed. What do you guys think?

That's two pretty different breed. Are you fixed on the lab's color? Yellow is just too blend for my taste, i'd rather go with the more rare colors like chocolate or black. I wouldn't get a rottweiler, they're too stubborn and pretty much they own you when they grow big enough, they do what they want and can be dangerous.

Pick the individual dog that has a personality you like. While most breeds act the way you may read about on the Internet, not all of them do.

Using my cat as an example, most people may read that Bengals are active hunters, muscular, and love to run around. However, from day 1 my Bengal has been lazy, a little chubby, and prefers lounging around and watching the television (and yes, she's definitely a Bengal). Even other cats and dogs I've had in the past didn't act the way other people said they would. It's all about the personality.

I have a lab and my neighbour has rottweiler, would never get a rottweiler because other people will be scared of it as well. My neighbours rot is trained to kill every cat that wanders in the yard.

If you want the dog that bites the most, get the Labrador. If you want the dog that scares the most, get the Rottweiler.

I like labs myself. I want a black one. However its all on what you want. I know that labs are really smart and very good tempered. But they will eat everything lol.

Whoa, an F1 Bengal! I have a dark gold-arrow rosettes with patina Bengal.

Years ago, I had a silver marble Bengal named "Sierra" who was HUGE for a domestic cat.

This is hard for me. I love yellow labradors as much as I love Rottweilers! I will never forget when our male Rott saved me from someone who came into our house while I was sleeping. Our Rott attacked the guy when he entered the bedroom. I loved that dog so much!

Yeah but most people tell me I shouldn't get Rottweilers as they're aggressive but they're a really nice breed

Get a lab, I have 2 - Summer and Indy. They are great with our kids and are so loyal.
Nothing against Rottweilers because I love them as well. My brother had a rotty and it demolished his house and yard. Used to dig big holes but at the same time he didn't spend much time with it so it was probably bored.

Your dogs are so cute. Rottweilers need attention and care so they wouldn't be wild. I recently moved lately so I have a huge backyard so I can give the dog I'm getting lots of space.

I have a Rott ,but for many reasons i suggest you getting a Lab,only if you live in a dangerous city.The best choice would be adopting one from a shelter and not giving money to someone who see animals like $$

We've had a rottie named Jimbo, he died a couple of years ago. He's pretty tamed for a big dog
We miss that beast. Now we have two boxer pups.

Dogs are a bane on a persons life.
They stink, they shit everywhere, you got the hassle of walking them every day.. You can never go away on holiday because you got a dog to take care of. They bark loudly.. their breath stinks.. they destroy furniture.
