Hey, I am currently trying to start a forum and so far I have 2 domain names in mind I just dont know which one to use yet...

www.teenbid.com (A Teen forum, that focuses on college life, dating, games, music, etc. Similar to teenhut.com)

www.scaryforum.com (A Scary forum that focuses on talking about scary/horror things)

I can't decide between which domain has the most potential, and sounds the best? I am currently going for teenbid.com but more feedback should be appreciated.

First teenbid is good, easy to remember and type.

It totally depends what is the subject of the forum you want. You can also develop the two forums simultaneously.

Thanks for the replys guys, any more feedback its welcome

Starting just one successful forum is a lot of work...two prolly too much for one person to do at exact same times if he really wants it to succeed he needs to put in a lot of focus on just one forum to start out with..

Thanks guys

I like how teenbid sounds too but I am currently aiming more for oldteen.com or scaryforum.com since it has way more monthly searches according to Adwords. Here are some stats

Oldteen.com (290 avg monthly searchers for exact matching words and 1900 for the words old teen, has a value around $500 according to estibot)

Teenbid.com (has 0 monthly searches for the exact matching words and 20 monthly searches for the words teen bid, has a value around less then $100 according to estibot)

I was thinking of staying with www.teenbid.com and using oldteen.com as a redirect, what do you guys think?

You'll probably get more of a return from the teen forum.

Those also prolly include some of the porn search volume.

ScaryForum is better than teenbid. Teenbid sounds like you might be joining Jared from Subway in a few months. ScaryForum has a wide range to be marketed to (Horror fans in general, Horror TV Shows, Horror movies, etc). You can also sell Halloween costumes near Halloween.

I prefer the first one too :)

Yeah it is a lot of work. At one time I have 2 forums. If you have capital you can just pay other others to work on your project.

Teenbid.com - I think this domain is good for an eCommerce where you can bid, selling specifically for teens needs.

Scaryforum.com - I think this is right for a forum. Having a forum is also to have good branding. You can just target multiple keywords on the subsections.

ScaryTeensForum.com

Very targeted! Very current too. Will go viral, imo. Best of both the worlds! :) Short form:STF... Very professional and no nonsense type... Lethal too. (As in special task force)

Dude, don't worry so much about the domain, it's content what's important. To build a successful forum, you'll need a lot of patience, money and knowledge in desired topic (you dedicate your forum to). Even if you get traffic, user won't magically start posting and spend hours and hours on forums. You gotta give them the reason why should they waste their time on your forums.

Now speaking about the domain, both are good and easy to remember.

Teenbid sounds like some weird illegal sex slave website.

ScaryForum is cleaner and more self explanatory imo. And unless this is your doing OP, I'm pretty sure scaryforum.com is already taken.

Op, what did you end up choosing? I'm curious. Hoping you're not taking the Charlie Floate route.

Hey,

I was going to choose ScaryForum.com but had a change of mind midway seeing I was mainly going to be dealing with scary or horror stuff the whole day, so I decided to change to a teen forum but with a different name that wasent teenbid.com. I ended up with www.teenreply.com
