I have not used black hat for a long time so am a bit rusty?

Not really, maybe for blasting your tier 2 & 3's with. Other than that, you should read around here about RankerX & GSA SER.

I'm still using scrapebox for scraping and finding proxies.

ScrapeBox and GSA SER + Captcha Breaker worth every penny (Needs Semi/Dedicated Proxies as additional cost). If I have the extra money will definitely try Ranker X for Tier 1 projects. Article spinner is also a good investment imo to make life easier for content feeding.

Scrapebox is kind of the SEO Swiss Army Knife, so that'll always prove useful. I am not so sure about the other two, but if easy bulk backlinks is what you are looking for, I'd say GSA.
