IMO you need to dripfeed the 1M posts at a very controlled rate. If they suddenly pop into existance even if they have different dates the spyders are going to start smelling a rat.
Then you need a proper hard drive if you're planning on getting a lot of visitors. A 512 GB SSD should do it if you can assess the size of your db and how much it would grow into in time.
This reminds of a thread a user created not too long ago about having a million posts on an IP site, but he couldn't get all of them indexed (or something like that).
