And this is a huge factor.

I use WordPress a lot, however I still use "Raw HTML". I find a basic free theme, then I customize it until it's not recognizable. However, it has a lot of data requests. I know their are SEO plugins for it but if you know how to do SEO, you can make your own site better.

I am working on a project now that is aimed towards mobile users. I am building my website because I know it will run a lot faster, then I can tweak it to be perfect for SEO too. Remember, Google looks at how fast your website loads as a ranking factor.
