Anyone experienced with Teespring?

I'm currently running a Star Wars account that has 10k followers. All of my pics get an engagement of at least 5%, that's 500+ likes. Many say monetizing so early is hard but I still wanna try.
I've been trying to understand how Teespring campaigns work but I still don't quite get it. Some poeple say you need to hit the goal you set in order to start the shipment, some say the goal doesn't matter. I was hoping someone would clarify that. I also wanna know what % of the sales I'm getting and if that depends on the amount of units I sell.
Given my quantity of followers and engagement, what would you set the goal to?

Also is there a problem if I use copyrighted images? How probable is it that I get caught and what are the consequences?

Set the goal low. 10k really isn't a whole lot. Most people don't start monetizing social accounts until they hit at least 20k. Hire someone to make a badass star wars design. Try to avoid copyright and trademark, you don't wanna get in legal trouble trying to make a couple bucks. Disney owns the franchise now and they are one of the biggest sue happy people when it comes to copyright infringement.

Of course you need to hit the goal so teespring start shipping
after you create the t-shirt teespring will tell you how much it cost like 12$ so you sell it for 15$ and you get 3$ for every sell

I too run a tee shirt company from instagram. The problem with Tee-spring is that they charge a lot for their base shirts. If you have solid demand, I would suggest buying inventory and selling them yourself!

Since it's Star Wars you might as well promote Amazon directly.

In no means should you utilize copyrighted images on t-shirt sites.

While it sounds good to go your own way, try taking a more creative approach.

I tried my designs related to Marvel comics. No luck
They even tracked my image with a word *belieber* - somehow directly related to Justin Bieber. On their opinion.
