There is no SEO service in existence or ever has been that can claim to be 100% safe from Google updates. Anyone that claims that either does not know any better or is just looking to make a sale. Having said that, as you can see this thread has been around for a while and there have been very few issues from Google updates. So while we cannot guarantee that it is 100% safe (again, no one can), if you read through the thread you will see that it is relatively safe if used correctly (many different anchors, drip fed, etc.).

That is indeed possible and would be the safest option. However, as you can see, this service has been around for quite a while and very few people have experienced problems even if using a mixture of main keywords as anchors.

That is not a problem, though we would recommend to use a combination of diverse anchors with the Simple Solutions package in order to keep your site's anchors profile as diverse as possible.
