Hey everyone.
After leeching around a while, I?ve decided to create an account and post a little something, just in case somebody finds it valuable and helpful.
I?m an old dog, as they say, I?ve been jumping in and out of the MMO world for quite some years now. Apart from flipping half a dozen of sites some years ago, I?ve never really accomplished anything mention-worthy. I?m, however, a half decent designer and JavaScript developer.
Last month I had a shoulder surgery and therefore a job leave. I thought to use the spare time to develop a project to get me to $2K extra each month? without investing a dime!
For one reason or another, that spare time I was planning to have hasn?t been such, but I?m still trying to run the project. I called it the Project Beta Alpha, for it would make an alpha male out of me
Long story short, more or less 10 days ago I started to play with Instagram. I found a library that allowed me to automate the whole management of an IG account: uploading, liking, following and so on.
As said, it is a library. It allows to communicate with the IG backend, but that?s it. I?ve spent this last few days coding the automated behavior to make a proper bot.
Great stuff about this ?system? is that:
- it?s totally free. It has cost me $0.00 and it can be run totally for free, regardless of involving 1 IG account or 1 thousand.
- it runs totally in the cloud (so no need to keep the computer on, which I frown upon).
- it is easily scalable. Plugging it to a new account takes like 3 minutes.
- there?s no need to get proxies.
- pictures get watermarked on the fly, just before they are uploaded to IG. This is pretty cool, I think, and allows to use a picture on several accounts but making it a bit more ?custom.?
- pics don?t need to be square. They are converted on the fly. You just download them to your computer, upload them to the cloud and that?s it.
- I have not been banned up until now, for a straight week running the bot on brand new accounts, so I can assume the ?bot? is pretty safe. To be exact, I had my ?test? account banned early on, so I implemented some security switches. It basically works on ?shifts?, in order to appear a real person that eats and sleeps?
I know pretty much everybody here runs a bot already, so I?m not sure if anyone would be interested in mine? I?m pretty excited about my sh*t so I just needed to tell somebody
I?m running three fitness related accounts right now.
First is a week old, 365 followers and around 50 likes/pic.
Second is 5 days old, 285 followers and around 65 likes/pic.
Third is 1 day old, 45 followers and around 20 likes/pic.
I have some ?unusual? monetization plans for them but I need to grow them further before.
So, what do you guys think? Am I on the right track?
