This thread is scary. These people are telling this 17 year old kid to drop out of high school, which requires like 10% of your effort to succeed at, to focus on IM.

Jesus christ this is not at all good advice.

The best part of IM is you can do it on your own schedule!

Ah god I honestly can't sit by and let all of you guys basically lie to this kid. The reality of most of the people on this forum aren't making any real money. Sure you get a couple exceptions, but overall, not much. Not saying you can't make it happen. But don't fuck yourself over. Get a high school degree, and then get a university degree in something marketable like computer science, marketing or data analysis.

You are 17 years old you have no idea what you probably want to do with your life. In a lot of countries you can't even vote yet. I'd bet all the people telling you to go for it, fuck school, and go into IM full time are either the same age as you, or really really stupid, and probably not making any money.

DO NOT DROP OUT OF SCHOOL.

Are there any marketing or business teachers at your school? Go talk to them about your ideas, maybe they can work out an independent study for you and them to work on an IM marketing plan. That's a more reasonable route to take I think.
