woot. i made over 4,000 today with Michael Jackson ring tones. spamming text messages with some software i wrote a few months back.

This just goes to show you that staying on top of current events can make you bank. Keep your eyes on the news, and always think of a way to monetize everything you see and hear.

Mind sharing what you did with the MJ ring tones to make this money..

I told everyone exactly what i did in my first post. I had software i programmed in vb.net a few months ago to send mass text messages, then i found affiliate networks that offered MJ RTs. put the 2 together (along with all the nice phones with internet access thanks to Verizon) and you have commission lift off.

Most networks let you point your affiliate link to specific RTs.
The bad side is, that most of the time you have to signup with the networks before you can find out if you have that option or not, because they fail to mention it on there affiliate sites.

Another way to monetize this is by selling MJ stuff. Whenever there is a death of a big artist like this, there is always a mad rush of people suddenly buying the artist's stuff.

So anyone with a Ebay and/or Amazon affiliate account, keep your finger on the trigger.

Also, according to Google Trends, Insights, and Suggested Search, the key phrases "michael jackson myspace layouts" and "michael jackson layouts" are hot and rapidly getting hotter.

Better yet is that the competition for the keywprds is next to nothing. I won't give away my exact plan, but I know the smart ones will put the pieces of the puzzle together and see what I'm getting at...
