Can someone explain this? "Energy"

In the USA, in order get 1st amendment protection do you also have to believe in whatever it is yourself or if its something that people believe in you will get the protection? I'm consider dabbling in it somewhat in a few months to add another source of income while I'm in uni.

Scamming people in serious need for energetic help is a great way to earn some nasty karma.

Thanks boo :). By the way I'm in 100% agreement. I learned everything I know from my teacher who didn't charge me one single red penny. Not a single thin dime. I give away what I know for free because I feel like it's degrading to sell spiritual knowledge. Others will disagree but that's just how I feel.
Sorry Pewep, I have to ask: do you have a crush on alwaysinvisible? :eyebrows:

I recently started with that and provide Theta Healing and other stuff like that... I'm just sending the people a word doc with some generic stuff. like I meditated for them and lit a candle blah... PM me if you want a good template you can send out to any customer you may get... They are all happy with me

Abhorrent behavior, what an absolute scoundrel. How is this any different from straight up illegal fraud? These are the rare times when I thank the almighty for people like Randi who put their foot in fakers asses.

Karma doesn't exist so it won't affect me in any bad way unless I were to go over the line with schemes such as confidence scam.

Hey bro, do whatever you want. As a graduate of the School of Hard Motherfukin Knocks, I commend your courage because the course you're trying to register for has one mean son of a bitch as a teacher lol.

Maybe karma is real, maybe it's not. After all, bad stuff happens to innocent people all the time, right? Why perpetuate the pattern? Why make a conscious decision to disenfranchise someone when you KNOW you don't intend to deliver the goods they seek? There are 10,000 ways to make money. Extend a little bit of empathy to your fellow man - regardless of whether or not you believe in magick, at least put yourself in the position of someone who genuinely is seeking out those services.

Bad things happen no matter what a person has done, the world is chaotic. There isn't really any 'cheat codes' aka magick spells or rituals that can break the chaos of the world. Their is only risk management and that is something that actually works to an extent depending on how far one is willing to go.

Karma is just a nice word for "consequences." And everyone has to suffer the consequences of their actions sooner or later.

Again, whether or not you believe magick is real is irrelevant. What matters is your intention and the ability to either help people or not. Maybe all of those guys are scam artists and maybe I'm a complete nutjob. That really doesn't matter - what's important is to be an asset for your community and not perpetuate a system that enriches one person at the expense of others.

You're an educated man. Why not start a service providing risk assessment and management for people and general advice on certain situations? If you build up a strong practice you'll be charging big companies lots of money and you'll help people in the long run.

Taking the improbable route and making a temporary assumption for discussion that some force exists and that it can be controlled, whether through the use of ritual (Magick - a Crowlean term, incidentally), or meditation, or saying begone. And also assuming that everything that happens happens for a reason and some person or thing were sick. Then if you had the ability, even though you have the most honorable intentions you would be committing black magick for interfering with the powers that inflicted the illness.

The foundation of your argument is flawed.

Yes, yes I do. I have to change my panties every time he makes a thread, but that has nothing to do with what's going on in this thread.

Mind your own business sir. :p
Well at this juncture, it looks like I'm going to have to ship you two. :p

I think you're getting two separate things mixed up.

How is this in any way shape or form a counter to my argument? That's like saying me doing good deeds to help mitigate the negativity in my aura from past misdeeds is committing black magick (which - by the way I have zero problems with). Of course not, there are thousands of ways to help erase bad habits and to alleviate harmful repercussions. I was saying - and this is an important distinction to keep in mind - that the act of consciously engaging in harmful behavior perpetuates a system that's already designed to impoverish the most needy. [Dad voice]This is bad and unnecessary[/Dad voice]. Having empathy for people in that position obviously leads to the conclusion that such an action should not be done, especially when there are many other ways to make money. I wasn't talking about magick or karma. I obviously know karma is real but I'm using a simple ethical argument, not a magickal one. Keep the two separate, as I originally intended.

A deed, even if done with the best intention to help, can cause harm. You think you are helping while you are actually harming.
