Ok so I've been away from BHW for a few weeks trying to take the plunge into this IG stuff beyond personal page and actually developing an online platform for my business. I started last week and I'm about 10 days in. I have another personal IG acct, but it only has about 500 followers. My goal with this is to grow it to 10k. For some that's small-for me...that's major.
Background:
I purchased MassPlanner IG edition and read Risto's IG tutorial and watched all the MP videos. The software is so robust that a lot is left out in the videos. I have 4 IG accounts total and I purchased proxies from Proxymillion. Tbh I have way more than I need, but it's not a big deal.
This account is about 3 years old. I just never posted much so I'm not starting from 0. I started with about 81 followers last week.
Settings:
I currently have very conservative settings I think. I can't list them all here, but I automatically send people messages when they follow me. I automatically follow back and I also leave a few auto comments on people's pages. I just make sure once a day I check all of my comments and inbox to interact with people.
FOLDERS: This is GENIUS. I found this out by emailing customer support about something totally different. Basically I use my dropbox to auto connect with MP. Any time I drop a pic in my specific IG dropbox folder it will randomly upload it to IG. It's very nice to plan ahead. It includes hashtags and any caption you like too. It's amazing.
FOLLOWERS SETTINGS: I was following 2-300 people a day, but that was too much for me IMO b/c the followback rate was low so I didn't think it was any point to it. I've spent the last few days unfollowing people. When my following count drops back down to 400 I will start back up again.
POSTING: I post 3-5 pics personally and 1-2 Reposts daily. I have the reposts set to delete after 4 days. Is this too little or too much for posting?
Stats:
Ok I'll admit I don't take great notes, but I'm trying to be extremely intentional by documenting things.
Week 1 Results:
70 new followers.
Highest number of likes I had was 13 on one pic. Not too bad for my number of followers.
3 Comments Total (Very Low engagement)
Week 2 Results: The week just started Sunday, but I have gained 40 new followers so far and I've been unfollowing for 2 days. My goal is to get 100 new followers this week and for my weekly follower count to increase each week.
Things I've Learned: I've been placing hashtags on every pic and trying out different types of photo posting. I'm taking notes at which hashtags give me more likes than others. The niche that I didn't really want to pursue much is the one that's been giving me the most likes. Go figure. The weekends (Sunday and Monday) seem to be very slow IG days. The most engagements happen during the day.
Things I've Done Well: I've been sticking to my page theme pretty well. I also have a very koo idea to reinforce my theme every 12 pics. This is something you'd have to see visually to understand of course.
Things to Improve: Getting others involved (Engagement)...I've noticed that when I ask a question I get more likes AND comments. On the personal side I'd love to have more content prepped way in advance...like a week's worth.
Other Variables:
I have 2 other accounts I eventually want to monetize. One is a dormant account I had 2 years ago...I lost about 3k followers, but I still have 8000 left. I'd like to try to build that one back up again but I've been so busy. If anyone has any ideas on how to get that going again and to connect it to my current page let me know. I only gained about 2k of the followers on this page. My friend did most of the major work, but he gave me the acct in exchange for some kicks. The other one is a quote page.
So far this has been fun and I'm learning a lot. I'm enjoying experimenting. Mass Planner doesn't eliminate all the work I need to do. I still have to have good content and thoughtful posts with engaging captions, but once you get things set up it makes life a lot easier. It takes awhile to setup though. I enjoy not having to constantly be on all the time.
I hope this was clear. All the other updates will be MUCH MUCH shorter than this one. Thanks for rocking with me on my journey yall.
