What operating system are you using?

I'm running FreeBSD on my laptop and desktop and have been for about 6 years, most of the tools I use I write myself and for the windows programs I do need I use a vm.

OS X. Macbook pro and Hackintosh as my work station.Extremely happy with it. I have VPS and all of my tools are there. No need to have it on my computer. :)

Ubuntu with Windows in a VM (nothing comes close to Visual Studio, unfortunately).

How's FreeBSD these days in terms of driver support? I've not used it in about 10 years. Memories...

Linux here, Fedora currently (after years of Arch) with i3-wm and Windows 10 KVM VM with virtio / dedicated graphics for gaming and some SEO tools that only works on Windows (and lags too much on the Windows VPS (which is actually a Windows VM inside a Linux dedicated server I rent).

My daily is OS X. I love to use it over windows for general tasks and editing my photos. But for work (automation, AutoCAD, Inventor, ...) I use Windows.

I'm a computer science student and I must use UNIX-systems. On my laptop I use bunsenlab (former crunchbang).
I love it for its flexibility and the sense of freedom it gives you.

You use Bunsenlabs :D. I've been trying to install it on my new device but it just won't take it... Probably going to make a DVD. I've been a Crunchbang fan for a couple years now. A buddy of mine helped with the earlier stages of development. I'm puppy on the old #! forums.

It's not too bad but you still have to check if drivers exist before you buy hardware, most of the conmen hardware is supported though :) Although saying that I'm waiting on a wireless driver that'll come with FreeBSD 11 so I can upgrade my wireless card lol.

Windows 10 with its spying problems.. No thanks !! I can't uninstall corona ( or w/e its name ) without losing search ability.. WTF !! Right now I am using Debian with Gnome3 for my daily tasks and dual boot with Windows 7 for Exclusive Windows programs ( Architecture software )

I actually like Windows 10..

I did the whole linux thing years ago.. and found it a ballache. I've got better things to do with my life than search the web for linux drivers for every piece of hardware i have.. and find linux versions of popular useful windows aps.

Back in those days though, Windows was crappy and always crashed. (bluescreen).. I've never had Windows 10 crash

A friend just gave me a computer that someone in his building gave him. It is a Dell Studio 1435. Because the OS was in Chinese, I reinstalled Windows 7, then I installed Windows 10.

To say I am dissatisfied with Windows 10 would be an understatement, even though I have shut off most of the spyware. I already knew that W10 was a dog, but I did not know how loud it barked.

I had Windows 10 on my phone. A few days ago Microshitty updated the OS and disabled most of the mods I had in the phone (Yes, it was rooted). I telephoned Microshitty and chewed out the person on the other end, then I telephoned the Microshity development center and asked them how they expected a developer to code programs for the phone if they cannot access the registry and modify that registry, I also withdrew from the developers program. After this, I went to the local Microsoft store and chewed on the sales team, then drove out to the International center where the local Microshitty offices are and chewed on them for a while.

Needless to say, I will be removing Windows 10 from my phone and the computer I just installed it on.

JustUs, have you considered using an open source operating system
