Afternoon everyone,

Just looking for some advice if anyone can offer it.

Our site appears to have been removed from the Bing index and we're struggling to figure out why and how to get it re-listed. It's hurting our business quite badly and we would like to know the cause and if there's a solution.

The only thing that has changed or happened recently is that our site has had several short periods of downtime where Bing may have been unable to crawl it. However there aren't a huge amount of crawl errors or any sudden spike in errors when we look in Bing webmaster tools.

We have tried to contact Bing Webmaster support for over a week and although they say they will acknowledge our query in 48h we have had nothing.

Is it possible that the downtime has caused them to drop us from the index? Are there any other obvious reasons we could have been dropped? Who/how can we contact them to find out?

We're still happily ranking at the top of Page 1 of Google.

Any help would be of great use and much appreciated.

Thank you

It might be worth adding that our hosting/downtime issues suddenly stopped at the same time Bing de-indexed us.

We were having issues that we were trying to fix where our server would run out of CPU and cause our Apache and MySQL to crash.

So since we've been ditched from Bing's index, our site has not been hit like that since and we've not had any issues......

Can anyone offer any insight?

Thank you!

Resubmit your sitemap in Bing Webmaster.

Re-summit your sitemap for Bing, and continue to reach out to Bing support. Have your tried calling them as well?

Two questions really in relation to the quote I have highlighted. Is being indexed by Bing really hurting your business? I have been ranked at number one for a particular search term (18,000 search pm) for about a month now and my total traffic - zero. Yes I actually mean NIL. Have you actually noticed any dip especially considering the second point you make. If you are number one in the Big G, does it matter?

In terms of your specifics, I would certainly contact via telephone. Forms, web submissions etc can all get "lost"

Hi all, thanks for taking the time to respond.

Without delving too deep into it we've noticed around a 10% dip in enquiries the same time that we were lost by Bing. That could be a coincidence and I will certainly look into other factors that could have caused the dip.

We re-submitted the sitemap yesterday and it has been crawled, but still nothing. If we search url:OURURL we get no results and "Some results have been removed".

When I stated that we were removed from the Bing Index that isn't actually correct, our number of indexed pages has actually risen in Webmaster but we've been removed from Bing Search results rather.

We've continued to send form submissions, but can't find a telephone number for anyone that can actually help. Can somebody point me to where I may find that? That would be a huge help!

Thanks again

just re-submit your sitemap in bing and fix the crawl errors.

Check once again the on-page seo. it's main thing for every sites.

just try in other web search engines like Ask.com ,AOL,Blekko before that just look on your SCO content
