[Method] Make $1000 a Month With Amazon - Newbie Friendly [Phase 5a Published!]

Meathead is it better to chose a niche which is broad. For Example:

Bedroom niche
- Mattress
- Pillows
- Bedsheets
etc

Or should we target smaller niche which covers only a few products.

I already have 2 websites in phase 3 one with broad and other which has 2-3 sub niches in it.

Waiting for phase 4 to see how different our ideas are regarding home page content. Eagerly waiting for the next phases and on how to maeket without ranking the website. Subscribed to the thread.

Thanks for Phase 3 Meathead.

Phase 1 & 2 complete and now writing articles as per phase 3.

This is exciting, and once again I appreciate the effort you are making to help us noobies break into the IM world. :)

Great share OP. I'm going to redo one of my failed Amazon sites using this guide, just cleared all my previous content (spun crap mostly). I just wanted to let everyone know how I get my long tail keywords for free rather than needing a Pro account anywhere.

1. I firstly use http://keywordtool.io/ just type in your main category/product type at the top and click search. This will give you quite a list, but without search quantity and CPC but that's okay. Once the results page has loaded, clock 'Copy All' to grab all the keywords you can, generally about 400 or so.
2. Now login to Google Adwords and use their Keyword Planner (under the Tools option). If you don't have an Adwords account just sign up - it down't cost anything.
3. Once you've opened the Keyword Planner, click on "Get search volume data and trends. Now just paste in your copied keywords from above in Option 1 and click "Get search volume".

You may get an error that some special characters aren't allowed, but you'll still get a great list of long tail keywords that you can easily sort on either search volume or CPC.

hey very nice thread here. what do you think is better: - choose a website with english content or can i use for example german, french ...website also?
what i mean: i this thread related to english audience . i do not know what kind of traffic generating methods will follow or is it all about SEO?

No, stick to English and Amazon.com (US audience).

can i use a different TLD's like ".review, .xyz " or its supposed to use a .com/.net/.info?

I would stick with .com/.net/.org - the idea is for it to look like a hobby/fun site not a "review" site.

hello meathead,

earlier you said this is not related to SEO but why phase 3 is about keyword research with SEMRush?

thank you

The method isn't all about SEO but it is still a consideration for the longer term. SEMRush is also an easy way to figure out what's popular.

Instead of blog can i choose a ecommerce theme which will be linked to amazon.

No.

Broad niche is fine for this. My friend's site has a broad name to cover lots of things but his initial content is just in one niche to remain focused.

This could work. I just use SEMRush for this but there are lots of ways to do it. If you're good at keyword research it doesn't do any harm to find low competition keywords at this stage.

Thank you for your thread, very helpful, waiting for next parts of the topic especially how to deal with sandbox and the most importing part "how to get traffic."

this is really a beginner's guide. right now i'm doing the phase 3. thanks for this!!!

I'm always looking at new ways to build my sites, almost completed phase 3.

Just a heads up, for those of you new to Amazon associates, add the text below to your footer, and make sure you have a contact/about/privacy page - just to avoid the future mass banning of everyone in this thread ;) :

Certain content that appears comes from Amazon Services LLC. This content is provided ‘as is' and is subject to change or removal at any time. http://www.yoursitehere.com/ is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com

Most interesting phases for me are yet to come... looking forward :)

Don't be cheap. The average person will stay away from domains like that.

129 more replies to go before phase 4. Eagerly waiting for it..... LOL :)

I am ready to take action, but still considering my niche.
I wrote you a PM (don't want others to hear about my niche). Thank you very much :)

I think I have done the first phase, but I am waiting to have a full picture to create a website. I want to be sure what I am doing, when I create my website, so, waiting for the next phase very eagerly :)

thanks OP for a good thread.. and this should be another reply for phase 4

thanks again for this post.

I just finished setting up phase 2 and I am working on

the steps you outlined in phase 3.

I do not have SEMRush, is there a free option I could use for kw research?

The free version of SEMRush should be okay.
