Making dollars from $10,000 investment !!

Hi BHW members,

I have just started a classified ads website 2 months ago but realized that I didn't plan it so well and my money isn't quiet enough.
Anyway, I've been reading and searching here (a lot) for building an online business and it's really interesting.

So let's get to the point, I may,within few days, contact a potential investor that may invest in the website by $10,000; I have good marketing strategies and ideas to make the project successfull (I don't know how to do business plan) but I am afraid of failure (I think I should not).

I have 2 concerns:
1- I have to gurantee and convince the investor that my website is the right one (wish me luck).
2- If the investor does not like the idea at all, I have to set plan B, I have to come with another website idea or something similar.

I hope you advise me and give me ideas of guranteed and good investment for such amount. Make the magic happen Geeks !!

Please note that I prefer gaining through DFP (which I never understood) and adsense. Please don't tell me to invest in stocks and forex and affiliate.

What exactly are you asking?

1. Every investor knows there are no guarantees, so if you promise him such, he will most likely not give you anything.
2. If he does not "like the idea" then your numbers are wrong, that is the only reason. So get your numbers right!

See it from his point of view.
What exactly are you going to do with his money and when exactly. What are the estimations of receiving his money back and when exactly? Make here three estimations, Low, Medium, and High (worst case, medium, best case).
Make calucations for this in Excel.

How can we help you with so little actual information? The investor is going to want to know what you are going to do with the money and how you are going to make the investor more money. Sounds like you aren't in any position for that, honestly sounds like you don't even have a business plan for yourself to be successful in the first place.

Fear is normal, just make sure you convince the investor(even if you have to lie) why investing in your site is the wisest investment he can make in the next few days, tell him the unique selling point you have over other sites and many more.(it's all about marketing yourself and your site)your convincing power.

As an Investor We always ask what's our R.O.I, we want our money in and we need our money out.
So make sure your R.O.I is pretty clear, or get an idea of what your R.O.I is.

Classified ads websites are known for high page views and I want to monetize it with DFP and adsense. Medium case is that we earn 200-300$ per month for the first 3 months.

Thanks for presenting your plan. Actually you are a big investor. Such entrepreneurs are rare who are agreed to invest more then $10000. Thoroughly I have read your post and can see that already you have taken a better decision. These is big investment, that's why please depend on your own decision. Otherwise you may fall in risk. Please keep update in a continuous way. Must I'll comeback to check your $ investment and feedback.

200-300$ in profit is ridiculously low even for a first month profit for someone investing 10k into the profit

No one will give you a safe way to make that money back since no one can guarantee that. Better make a strategy on your own and don't use that 10K

I am not investing that 10k once, it would be divided to more than a year, means approximately $600 a month !!

Well... working on my projects I was always able to get my money back, (Im talking about $10th of thousands), the only thing that Im not sure is time when I will get my money back..., so I would just tell him that you will get his money back and even more, just don't say anything about time frames
