Why i Quite my Business....!

Fuck everything guys, quit right now and let's all get in line to get a job at MD's.

There's no money in business guys.

I swear one thing I hate is how ppl who make money online SWEAR the only job offline is a shitty minimum wage fast food job.

You guys are all driven people who can make a living bringing value online, but your credentials are so shitty that your only other options are flipping burgers?

Wonder if you guys all have shit credit too.

last part wasn't directed at you Roy btw.

I wonder if most BHW members settled on making money online or if they actually like doing this. Seems like alot have been forced if all they can see outside of this is a job that even felons are allowed to do.

Nice try Ronald.

It's amazing to me how BHW just hates to see anything motivational lol.

Can only say one thing that stands out in my mind.

never put all your eggs in one basket

All the best

Absolutely this.

These are generally the same people who say that college is a waste of time as well. These are also the kinds of people who have never had a real job in their lives.

I'd love to see Roy's resume.

Bullshitting Strangers Online - September 2011 to Present

Isn't the end goal money? Why is there such a backlash by many persons in IM, that anything other than IM is not worth it.
Probably the excerpt reading like someone smug who has made it talking down to people trying. Granted it may not read like that in context, but how many people are going to actually read on with that opener?

Regarding the article, Peter Shallard is famous for writing to the point where his wording begins to sound like he randomly replaced regular words with business phrases in order to sound intelligent.

There is knowing large words, and then there is knowing how to use them in context.

2/10 article, would not bang.

Fair points. Dunno, to me it just seems like telling entrepreneurs that "it's okay to get a job" in any capacity is the best way to stall yourself in the learning process, unless you are genuinely out of money. I'm sure there are plenty of people who were feeling stressed out with their new businesses, got jobs, and then came back onto the entrepreneurship scene 100x stronger than before... but I'd bet that's rare. I don't think it's good advice, seems like giving up when you are feeling down, unmotivated, or stressed out, maybe that's just me.

Regardless thanks for posting this because the lounge is DEAD today and I need to post edgy comments somewhere

IM is very heavily reliant on the hardware, software and internet connection you have. A person with a decent paying 9-5 can easily crush the productivity of a person trying to "learn" and is working 80 hours a week just on IM.

Thats what I was saying, if you use the money earned from the 9-5 to pay for powerful hardware like a i7-5960x or xeon based cpu, get the best SEO and social media software from the start, and pay for a good internet connection you can do way more in a few hours a week than people that are spending 80 hours a week because they don't want a job.

This. Cash flow is king in this business and having a steady check that can be used to help fund your marketing efforts (which results aren't instant in SEO) speeds things up 3-4x.

nothing is easy in this world. The one who wants to success have to be strong mind, body, soul. If at certain point things get hard and you quick ( the easy thing to do is giving up) then if you do that. You telling yourself you are a looser. mommy of two babies talking here ( I know this is a world of men ) a positive mind is powerful. never giving up on me. cheers !

Perhaps was he named Adrian?

Best Regards,
Jaymien.

No...he's not an IM guy. Government Contractor that involves "Zero IM." BIG $ is not made trying to get a Click Bank product sold. Big $ is made through knowledge, contacts, leverage and Big Contract Selling....PERIOD. Big $ might be made by creating a product that IM guys sell for you. You think Mark Cuban did Click Bank?

The only way to be rich is to have a business.

Wrong. Big $ is also made by smart Investing. Investing in Capital, Leverage and Doable Enterprises. Take your $ and invest it (RE, Stocks, Bonds, etc). Keep doing that year after year, etc. After time has passed, if you've made smart moves, you'll be a millionaire. If you want to be a Billionaire, you better have some HUGH leverage and a hugh buyer base. Good luck!

LOL...yep. I'm not on here that much but i often see Poor Bastards begging for $ because they had a shitty plan. I do B-to-B, face to face, biz. Working 80hrs in front of a computer is not a life (imo). Mostly what i see here are poor bastards gambling their time away----their most precious resource. After awhile, your time is gone you're old and broke. Chasing "white Elephants" is not a good game plan.

This. Cash flow is king in this business and having a steady check that can be used to help fund your marketing efforts (which results aren't instant in SEO) speeds things up 3-4x.

BINGO! Ask any CPA or business man who knows his shit. In B-School you learn----"cash flow is KING in any business!" Land a gov. Contract to produce website for Obama-care, HUD, Gov.Agencies, etc. CAN'T DO THAT? Then go to work for a company that DOES THAT! You'll make more money, have a better life and move up faster in the world than you ever DREAMT by trying to do it alone. Their's a dude on here called "netmoney1." Ask him...

NOTE: I posted that article not to discourage anyone, but to take a good look at your resources and make wise decisions. I got a brow beating from guys who can't read. These same dudes are Falling into the "Rah-Rah atta boy go get um" mindset; this mindset will bring you a life of misery. Some may not have any choice. But to those who do, get wise and smell the roses. Its up to you...no one will do it for you. I suggest some of you read that guys blog closely.

Reading the posts in this thread you can clearly see whos doing their 9-5 and whos doing online business full time.

To all 9-5, no one is saying that so called "real job" is shit, so no need to be so defensive. Some people are happy with stable income, corporate world and their comfort zone while others are ok with taking risks. Thats normal.

I understand where people who write these articles come from... they understand nothing to make a successful online business and think that it takes magic pixie dust to get to the top. If you stopped and thought about it you'd see that the article expresses that the writer is "blind" to the core fundamentals of marketing and advertising. Regardless of their experiences the article reveals that they have no in depth knowledge or insight into a successful business venture.

You need money to cover your basics and you need assets to pay for more assets and luxuries. If more people took the time to learn how to properly write sales copy (maybe even spend about 500,000 hours reading, testing, and analyzing every detail of sales psychology) then there would be no problems and failure rate would be reduced to uncontrollable risks (like economies crashing, etc). Do I preach that everyone could make it? No, because that will never be true at all. I am saying that you can increase your chances to make it substantially by being smart, sharp, and by being a king and lord of sales psychology.

The only easy route to wealth is "Shift money from one profitable asset to buy/create another asset that makes profits, then repeat til extremely rich." The secrets that people don't want you to know about is that "reality is only what you perceive it to be." If you can create your reality (assets that make profits) then you can become rich in any market that have a healthy supply and demand ratio you can control.

I don't know anyone who works 9-5, AND i think were getting off on a Tangent. The focus of the thread was "stop thinking "pie in the sky" without resources and a good Biz. Plan.

Agreed,

Spin it how you want, But i think what this dude is saying is a little bit more along the lines of "STOP and think." There was a discussion about Tony Robbins and positive thinking above. It takes WORK to make it and if you don't have the resources, DON'T DO IT.

I don't know what the writers accumen is for PL statments and exploiting trends and sales. HOWEVER, i do believe he knows BS when he sees it. http://www.petershallard.com/how-gurus-exploit-imposter-syndrome-for-profit/

I see and witness a lot of BS on this forum. Just saying...

thanks for your insight!
