I've spotted a few minor layout and functionality issues (screenshots and descriptions below). I'll update this thread with additional suggestions as I find them:

1. The dropdowns at the top don't work unless you hover over the little arrow:

2. My avatar is quite pixelated, perhaps this could be made smaller?

ynehKBh

3. Not sure if intentional, but the /login slug is duplicated if you get your details incorrect:

rCzQWw5

4. My avatar and "Positive ratings" are duplicated when viewing my profile page:

14cwgY8

5. The "Main Forums" link gets highlighted when clicking "Home":

What's the rating? Is this like rep system we had on bhw?

Thanks Eternal1912

We'll be tidying up a number of old threads and closing them off after the move. Quiet / dead threads will be moved to closed after a period depending on their relevance, engagement level and topics.

I'd like to suggest locking thread in "Hire a Freelancer" section that are older than 6 months or 1 year given the fact that I hate seeing old threads being bumped up. I guess others dislike that as well. What do you think, Damien?

7. Clicking the "View trading profile" link of any profile brings up an error page:

8. I'm assuming "Thanks", "Likes" and "Positive ratings" are the same thing, however it is a little confusing having 3 different names for it.

Thanks Conor answering your points below inline in red..

.This is by design - maybe not a great one. Clicking on the forums link will then give you all the details that you get from the drop.

View attachment 77911.

2. My avatar is quite pixelated, perhaps this could be made smaller? We're no longer accepting some types of images on avatars - due to the new layout (avatars of most recent posters and OP displayed on thread listings) - when you upload a new avatar you'll see the new requirements. Moving everyone without an avatar would be too dull.. when you upload your new avatar this should be clear.. .

4. My avatar and "Positive ratings" are duplicated when viewing my profile page: .the "positive ratings are thanks - the duplication is down to fixing the LHS nav - this is the only type of page this doesn't really work for we'll look at a fix for this. .

7. Clicking the "View trading profile" link of any profile brings up an error page:.Yep that's part of the "we've got a bit of tidying up to do" caveat http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/bhw-beta-testers/828961-new-bhw-live.html#post8732134 .

8. I'm assuming "Thanks", "Likes" and "Positive ratings" are the same thing, however it is a little confusing having 3 different names for it. .Not exactly - it's something we're playing with having more thank just Thanks - there will be a number of different feedback types some negative, some positive. Thanks will just be one of them. Although I take your point that without that reference these can be confusing .

Will these differentiate between how useful the post was and the reason for why the reward was given?

Regarding the scale:
Not to bring up the old topic of Rep but initially it was much harder to get than a Thanks. Thanks are often just given out for a person merely agreeing with another, than than rewarding them for really going the extra mile.
Regarding the reason:
To encourage members to contribute relevant information rather than what many would go to Reddit for, I think it's important to be able to differentiate whether the user is a comedian, a helper or a mixture of the two if there are going to be multiple rewards similar to Thanks.

Thanks for your thoughts Deleted member 364366 it will be coming out once we're stable with the new platform. But yes the button will reflect the intent of the thanks rather than just a sign of appreciation.

Solution for #2:
wb-logo-ret.png

Old BHW saved profilepics as 100x100px just upload a bigger version on the new BHW and it's good quality again.

Yeah, you're right. I was just suggesting that some members might not consider uploading a higher res image after their profile has been migrated across. It might be a simpler solution to make the whole frame smaller, rather than possibly continuously suggesting that members update their avatar.
