May I know how do these websites get their games ? Is there any way to monetize other than affiliate and advertisement?

Thanks for your opinion but I recently brought this domain which is created in 2002 but have expired. I has a average search of 5.5k monthly. With PR 2, do you still think that I should to a different market ?

you can get games from mochimedia, kongregate, flashgamedistribution, freeonlinegames. There are some plugins that can do this for you on autopilot. You can monetize using adsense, or apply to game ad networks like, CPMStar or EpicGameAds etc.

Yes the market is over-saturated, even if you are a developer. Most of the big sites now just publish games between themselfs. It's hard to get in but if you develop a solid and awesome game, you might get lucky.
