3000 views but only $0.5 earned? (adsense)

So I put my website link on my instagram bio and got 3000 views (1200 unique visitors) in one day but only $0.5 earned. WTF, shouldn't it be a lot more? My ads clearly shows through mobile devices so I don't understand what the problem is.. Anyone had the same problem?

Yeah I know but since I get all my traffic from instagram I was wondering if someone in this section have had the same problem with adsense. I have heard somewhere that Instagram can block the ads on the website but not sure if that's true.

What do you mean? I am not revealing my niche but it's in the entertainment category. The keyword shouldn't matter since they go to my website when I tell them to in my posts.

Well they are. I use the adsense plugin. The ads are not optimized but they show clearly.

Nah not viral, just content related to my niche audience that they may be interested in. Website runs relatively well.

You may need to make adjustments to both Adsense and your website to get better results. I have dealing with it for 1 months to get the site perfom better.

If you put one 300x250 above the content and one below, you should get higher CTR.
You can also put one in the middle, but that would be too much ads. I guess most visits to your website comes from mobile and this ad format and placement gave me pretty good results.

I have the automatic ad-format and I do have the ads in the beginning and one below the content..

my rpm right now is $1. Is that good? What does this say? I use google analytics to track my visitors. Ad blockers arent as usual as on the desktop so I think most of my visitors do see my ads.
