For the past week I've noticed that my clickbank sales are a fraction ot what they used to be. Checked to see if my sites are up and sure enough they were. Just now I have realized that it's the load time. Did several tests from USA and Europe servers, load times are between 20 seconds and 60 seconds on all sites. Bluehost says no technical issues.

Files are getting uploaded on my new VPS account with a different company as I type this. I have stayed with Bluehost for many years and always wanted to move but always felt it was too much of a hassle (which I guess is a big reason many people stay with shitty hosting) because I have tons of sites, most WP. God knows how many thousands of dollars I have lost in sales due to slow load times, will see if the sales pick back up when everything is up and running again (no reason not to).

Anyone else with bluehost noticing this? Not sure if all accounts are affected.

It happened to me as well. I have been with Bluehost for years... And when I noticed my ranking going down and my websites taking forever to load. I contacted them and they ask me to optimized my sites. I told them I HAVE DONE THAT...

And they agreed that it was their server. And they gave no reasonable answer to me when I asked them how long it will take them to fix whatever is wrong with their server.

After 2 weeks of going back and forth with customer service and no solution. It is time to move. I have a website with servikus already and it is doing well. loading 0.99sec.

Good thing is, servikus will help you move your sites with no charges...

Screw shared hosting, get cheap VPS and your sites will fly.. I recommend time4vps.eu they got the cheapest VPS I came across for the quality they offer.. If you can't setup VPS server yourself, hire someone on fiverr for $5.. Ask them to also install an admin panel for you, like VestaCP. Then you can use FileZilla or whatever FTP client and run your sites as you would on Bluehost. According to Google Webmasters my sites take less than a sec to load

Bluehost is notorious for limiting/throttling accounts using too much CPU and memory on their totally overcrowded servers. In addition, they are owned by EIG, a company owning a significant share of the overall hosting market with dozens of brands. Unfortunately, their business model seems to be about shareholder value only. Whenever a host changed ownership to EIG, performance and service went down the drain. I use bluehost for 4-5 years too and I must say recently they are fucking bad.
My site went down several times and sometime when I try to load my site, it doesn't even load correctly.
Maybe its time to move on..

Bluehost is one of the worst hosting at the moment. Change hosting provider and NEVER, and I really mean NEVER come back to Bluehost!

from last couple of days i m seeing a drop for my 2 sites and i checked n found that my site are not even loading and getting an error 522. Looking to move from them now

Thats why the reason I never use Bluehost,Instead of that i better trust on GoDaddy. :D

Went with KnownHost managed VPS, gtmetrix shows a 0.9-1.2sec load time.

Haha funny you should mention that.

My website is absolutely horrendous at loading.. tried everything.. its sloooooooooooow

Well this could be for few reason, I run tons of sites so I had tons of problems like this.

1. If you use some nulled theme or plugin it could be the reason for some long load time

2. You have lot of photos or hosted videos that are not optimized

3. I had 5-10 Ddos attacks on my sites and this caused 50+ sec load time

4. You have 1-5 entry processes and you have lot of visitors so server put them on waiting for load time

It seems fine now that I'm on VPS, ~1sec load time.

BTW, my other bluehost sites that I still haven't moved (and don't care for that much) seem to be okay now, around ~4 sec load time as usual. But with the shitty hosting, you never know when a slow load time will hit and you'll lose sales. I'm already seeing sales coming in (I promote an extremely cheap CB product on that site and get dozens of sales a day), and am sure the new hosting will pay for itself in a matter of days.

If you look at http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/bluehost.com.html for example, you can read the comments and see how often people report sites not loading. Every week there seems to be a technical issue and when you calculate the losses in sales on a yearly basis because of that, going with a dedicated or at least a VPS(as I did) is a no-brainer.

Bluehost and hostgator have both been terrible since EIG bought them. There are way better hosting providers out there.
