Can you search Amazon for products based on "Quantity in Stock"

Hi Everyone,

I am searching Amazon for products to sell.

Often when I search, I find good products at prices that seem re-sellable.

Trouble is, they often do not have much in stock.

Or, they list their product as "In Stock" without listing quantity at all.

My question is :

Is there a way to search Amazon for products, that will allow you to specify "quantity in stock" as a variable?

Maybe there is a way to do it on Amazon itself?

Maybe there is a site or software that helps with this?

Ive only dabbled in the reselling amazon business... buyt whay i would suggest is to make a list of possible products and then try messaging the seller to see how many in stock. Maybe if the seller is good you will get a response.

Maybe not... not all things on amazon have independent sellers... to my knowledge.

If you can get in touch with the seller and verify/satisfy yourself of their legitamacy then do so. If not I'd tend to stick with produtcts that Amazon expressly backs itself.

A quick and easy manual way to do it is find a product you are interested in, add it to your cart. Then change the quantity to something high like 300 (or the limit 999). If there is that much available, it will add them to your cart or tell you there are only X amounts left, etc. Either way, you have your inventory answer. You can then just delete the item from your cart after that.
I know of no software that can do this other then creating your own bot, but this works fine for me. Yes, it is one by one, but if you are serious about this kind of resale, you should be closely looking at each product you are seriously considering anyway. Yes, use any tool to create a list of possibilities, but analyze the metrics and attributes of each closely. Or, be hap-hazzard and "scrape-and-list" and roll the dice.

Hey bro - I tried this while searching around, and could not tell which products Amazon backs itself. Do you mean Amazon FBA stuff?(I didn't think that's what you meant.)

Is there a way to tell?

If you have some basic programming skills you can access the Amazon API and parse the quantity stock...

A simple software could solve that problem.

I do, and can hack some code together sometimes even when I don't know enough of it.

Tell me, I've searched around a bit. Is there a quick start for coding Amazon API for simple tasks?

I've looked on Amazon, and they have way-too-much-information and I can't find what I need.

Any help?

Well, the only thing you need to know is how to access the Amazon API.

After that, it's just a variable you have to look for...

I would do it that way:

1.) Looking on how to access the Amazon API (tip: you need an amazon key through your associate account)
2.) Looking for the variable QUANTITY_STOCK (I don't know if the variable is called QUANTITY_STOCK)
3.) Make an relationship to the product through the link
4.) Get you data together and display it

You could code a simple C# WinForms or WPF or a Web Interface via PHP and do that relatively quickly.
