All I can say is that Guest Post outreach is the most time consuming yet the most effective WH way to get high quality links back to your site.

In fact, this was the backbone of our strategy when working for an agency in the College niche representing HUGE brands.

I am trying to get back in the game as an agency myself and have 1 client right now with opportunities for more.

I have a couple of questions for you Tommy, the most important thing I looked for when sourcing a blog to pitch was traffic. Site metrics are nice but nothing beats a lively site with visitors that has rankings of their own. Do you let us know where it is going before it goes up?

I'd like to run the sites through SEMrush or something to see if the site has any life to it outside of the domain metrics. I am also assuming that you guarantee a post goes up.

Anyway, I was designing SEO packages to offer and I ALMOST considered not offering Guest Posting at all due to the time commitment, now that I see this I might just consider it.

Everything you've said is 100% spot on! This is the main reason Guest Post services here and on many market places fail, they're not even real outreach posts. We don't show exact sites before placements for numerous reasons, but yes we adhere to strict quality guide lines in terms of metrics and traffic before we contact and pitch a website owner.
