Video Editing Methods to avoid Copyright Infringement

If you're uploading them in fullscreen you will get hit for copyright matches or blocks. I would avoid uploading most copyright stuff in fullscreen unless you test it on a dummy channel first as some stuff skates by. Trust me those people who are putting highlights up in fullscreen aren't making a dime off of them unless they got full permission from whatever soccer organization they're posting them with to post them like that on YT and most people don't get permission so they're probably uploading them that way not for monetization purposes.
If you can start editing them in quarter screens where the video only takes up about quarter length and width of the screen. I've been using this method for a couple of years now and has worked perfectly for me most of the time.
Your viewers will still appreciate them as I rarely get any complaints on it, from time to time I will have that clueless idiot who says something about putting it in fullscreen but he's usually put in check by either me if I catch the comment or somebody else who explains it to him why it is in the quarter screen.

- Don't make your clips last longer than 15 seconds or else the Content ID will kick in.
- When uploading your video, set it to private
- Do NOT put any tags or descriptions and make garbled text as the title
- If necessary, edit your video to a point it's nothing like the original
- If after processing you are not flagged and you want to monetize the video, leave it as is for as long as possible (at least an hour) to mitigate the chances of having YT asking for proof of commercial rights. Then monetize.
- If after review you are clear to monetize, add your title, description, and tags and set the video to public
Even if you bypass all of this, you can still get flagged and even land a strike by the copyright owner through manual detection (meaning the owner actually watched that video and flagged it) even if the video is not for profit. So be very aware of what you are doing and what you are risking doing this.

put a big border around it too, and speed up the audio a bit.
but yes, it seems to me you need to plan on youtube discovering it at some point. formulate a plan that takes that into account.

Alright its really tricky when it comes to upload copyrighted TV shows.First of all, edit your video perfectly, i mean change things around,add some text captions, so it's kinda of a new creation.You can also try reversing the clip through video editing process,that can evade youtube's algo.As long as your using it for non-profit purposes, it usually isn't a big deal.
Vimeo is good for bypassing this kind of stuff. I suggest just uploading to Vimeo, or even to your social media platform directly if it's just to share with people you know. But if you're trying to monetize via Youtube, it depends on the video you're making. The audio waveform is something that often gives you away, so removing the copyrighted audio... Or colorizing the image and adding some kind of effect also works. Substantially re-editing the video as others suggested. But if you're simply trying to add copyrighted material to Youtube and monetize *that*, good luck - cause there's no real way around it.
