"On your first visit to AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), you need to select a charitable organization to receive donations from eligible purchases before you begin shopping. We will remember your selection, and then every eligible purchase you make at smile.amazon.com will result in a donation."
I think it's 0.5% of your purchase, no questions asked, no additional costs for you. Comes out of Amazon's bottom line. I spend about $5,000 per year on Amazon (shit). So that's $25 a year that a charity didn't have before.
My charity of choice is Little Pink Houses of Hope. They give free week-long vacations to cancer patients and their families. We won a trip several years ago, and it was a wonderful experience. This, plus regular monthly donations anyway, is my way of giving back for Jeannine and others giving their time and energy to families all over the world.
